The Trump campaign says it's advising the Pres to not interrupt Biden at the next debate because if Biden is allowed to speak he will trip up......
Gee I wonder which one of them came up with this groundbreaking strategy?

I suppose whomever had the courage to tell him that doesn't fully appreciate the fact that he does it because he has to. For several reason. One, is that he is incapable of debating issues. Especially the ones that require carefully thought out complex solutions and in a debate, a substantive answer. Maybe it's just me, but I've never heard a single substantive thing from him since Day 1. Another, is that he has a personality disorder that pleases him to hear himself talk and that his voice is the only one that his ears register. I'm sure most of us have tried to have conversations with people and they won't pause for you to interject but when you are speaking they'll interject by speaking over you, loudly, until you let them have the floor. In my final example, his strategy is to use that podium for 2 primary things, discredit his opponent by whatever means necessary, and campaign for himself by telling the audience he's the greatest of all time, smartest of the smart, and no one has done a better job than him.
Put these things together and you have a man that is incapable of structured debate, period. Biden has decades upon decades of experience in politics and government, including 8 years in the White House. He's not going to "slip up" during a debate and reveal the bones in his basement. So either way, he wins the debates. Easily.

Yup
And Trump can't stand not to have the last word, or for someone to say he's wrong about anything.
Yet millions will vote for him because a) He 'stood up' to China (nothing has changed to improve our position via trade or foreign policy, but the mere fact that he said in public that he was taking measures counts) b) The economy was booming and the stock market was at records highs before the democrats shut everything down (again, not that the average person saw a raise or their net worth increase by much) c) He's appointed two right-wing judges to the supreme court and will ram a third through before he leaves d) He's been tough on immigration (again, deportation levels have actually dropped since Obama's term, and Trump has restricted almost every form of LEGAL immigration)
But yeah, he's a great man and looking out for the little guy. One of my "Christian" FB friends actually posted yesterday that Biden will ruin us all because he wants to tax rich folks. And you know that if you increase taxes, then Walmart will pass the increase onto us, so we're going to pay. I have no words for that level of total ignorance. One of her friends actually was nice enough to point out that Walmart is a BUSINESS, and Biden is looking to close loopholes and raise taxes on INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE. I just don't know how you combat that level of total ignorance and unwillingness to investigate anything.
I want to say write them off, and I have been holding my tongue more than usual, but at the same time, if we don't try to post some actual facts, then they just go out and try to convert more idiots to their way of thinking. Ugh.

I beg to differ that nothing has changed via trade. Just ask the farmers what the tariffs have done to them.

When it comes to the trade deficit, which the tariffs and diplomacy via tweet attempted to address, not much has changed.
Also depends on which farmers you are talking about. Some of them got sweet sweet handouts. Guess which ones.

Yeah, farmers are getting killed by the tariffs. Yet 90% of them will vote for Trump again without hesitation.
I find that I've really run out of any fucks to give for them. In fact my fuck-giving for farmers and their economic woes is in the negative.
Rather than a handout, let's get the USDA back up and running properly. Then work with farmers to get rid of this 'Next year will be different' attitude. Yes, next year WILL be different, because they're going to have a plan, accurate trend forecasts for the next few years for their crops and livestock and some way to switch to a different crop without flooding the market or going bankrupt.
Read several articles over the past year about dairy farmers going bankrupt and losing everything. Each farmer had one thing in common - they kept going way long past the point when it was feasible to continue raising cows. When the government cut the amount of the milk subsidy, they lost all ability to stay afloat. I'm no economist, but I could have told you 10 years ago that the demand for fresh milk was dropping and was going to continue to trend downwards. Not a one of these men even thought about pivoting to something at least a little different to get them through leaner times. Probably because they knew they'd get a government bailout.
How is that any different from a person who applies for food stamps or welfare because they didn't get the education or training to perform a different job than the one they were let go from?
