Don't remember where I read it, but some Russian billionaire funded a huge holocaust museum in Israel - they're having such a hard time denouncing Russia, cause they don't want him to get butt-hurt.
No hypocrisy there.

If anyone can, I'd sure like them to explain to me the difference between green-lighting Poland to send MIGs to Ukraine and literally just about every "small arms" shit you can think of. And not just small arms like guns and bullets, but anti-tank and ground to air missiles too. Oh, and 13 billion us dollars for whatever else. I understand the strategy behind keeping NATO out of the fight but ffs NATO countries are already participating by proxy right? How is sending them fighter jets a larger risk as long as it's not NATO pilots in the cockpit?

Article by Cathy Dyson in the FLS this morning - one of the questions she asks in the article is what would happen if Americans were called to action like the citizens of Ukraine have been? She said that she feels we would never unite as one. First comment "The current administration has blah, blah, blah..." Yup - there's your answer right there. Meanwhile thousands of Ukrainian men and women have set up posts along major roads and at train stations to help those who need to evacuate do so as safely as possible and are providing food, water, blankets, medical supplies and whatever they can. Because they're patriots. And they know that there's more to fighting a war than picking up a gun, and that the safety of their country is more important than politics right now. Can't see that happening here

A couple of years ago I'd have said that if we had a Wolverines movie scenario, where we were actually invaded by a foreign power/s, then yes absolutely.
I wouldn't bet my life on it now but I'm willing to concede the states of Florida Alabama Louisiana, but they HAVE to also take Texas.
I've said it before and I'll say it again because I hear this bullshit all the time- Obama. Obama ruined aMErica. He divided the country with his half-blackness, his Muslim faith and name, and followed on with he and his transvestite wife's hate of America. Everything wrong with aMErica today is a direct result of electing Obama
twice.
/Not sure if I mentioned it or not already but one of the Bubbas was talking (loudly) about how Joe Biden is only a surrogate for Obama and that Obama is running everything. I could have listened to more of that bullshit but have learned that if I tune it out, there's less of a chance of yelling and the less likely to lead to fisticuffs.

Yup, the Ruskies are looking for that laptop - Trump needs it!
And speaking of the Great Orange Asshole, he's now going on tour saying that there was World Peace while HE was in office - Russia didn't dare to invade, cause Putin is afraid of him.
Jesus wept.

Every day I wonder when THE FUCK the charges for his many crimes will be issued. And every day that he's allowed to tour the country (in Trump Country that is) and address the poorly educated.
The part he missed bigly is that the reason Russia didn't invade Ukraine is because he wanted us out of NATO, which gave his bear (Putin) a very happy ending. As far as the world being peaceful or whatever.... well, let's just say that it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Truth. Too bad his followers are too stupid to realize that. Then again, most of them don't pay any attention to the news at all and have traveled further than the next town, so they have no clue about national, let alone world affairs. And that's a huge problem.

A month and no end in sight for all involved. At what point will more extreme measures be used to escalate the war and spread it into Europe and beyond? Becuase we know that like Trump, losing is not an option for Trumputin.

Yeah, enough is enough - we (meaning NATO) need to set a no-fly zone and enforce it.
Vlad's a fucking lunatic, but I think even he would think twice about dropping a nuke. And I hope to hell that we have feet on the ground in China convincing their government that they shouldn't expect Putin to be their BFF, and to stay neutral. Cause if they decide to come to the party, we may all be screwed.

And Ukraine was in the middle of a Covid surge when all this started. Suffering galore. Someone needs to make Putin ☠️
Hopefully China is reconsidering their plans to move on Taiwan.

China is very closely watching what is happening in Ukraine. Because if Putin gets away with this, Taiwan is next

Cause if they decide to come to the party, we may all be screwed. I don't agree with the no fly zone. That is sticking the US's nose directly in the conflict. Nothing good will come from it and after the first US or NaTO piloted aircraft gets shot at or worse, it shoots down a russian aircraft, the ships will start shooting at each other and then we'd be to the point of no return. What we should be doing is exactly what we have been doing, supporting Ukraine with arms, funds, and humanitarian support, along with the dozens upon dozens of other countries in the world doing the same. Every country with the power to do so should cut them off and cut them out. Ban any and all businesses based in their country from doing business with theirs. Next move is to expel their ambassadors. I was reading some headlines today that follow the same pattern of reporting that Putin is going to nuke somebody. As I said above, that is a possibility but also unlikely. We want to keep that likelihood to a minimum and implementing/enforcing a no fly zone would raise that minimum greatly. Side note: I hate this for the Ukrainians to the point that I would pack up my fat old rickety ass and join the tens of thousands from here and around the world to go fight for them. If I didn't have someone to take care of here, I'd be on my way already. Even if they just needed me to feed people.... I would do anything to help on the ground.

You may be right there. And I hadn't thought about shutting down embassies and expelling their diplomats, but that's an excellent idea as well.
Read an article about a Ukrainian hockey player from the NHL who retired back home. He's 58 (maybe 59), but has the money to get out if he wanted to. Both he and his wife, along with their friends are out manning way stations set up on the route to the Polish border to pass out food, water and supplies to those who need to flee. He told the interviewer that he had been disappointed that the government didn't issue him a gun and send him to the front lines, but that guns and other such weapons are being reserved for those with experience in using them. And that he now realizes that there are other ways to help the fight - what he and his neighbors are doing will save many lives, and without their efforts, the soldiers wouldn't be able to do their jobs effectively. They are all in this together and need to help each other.
Meanwhile in the US, I look at shit like the 'People's Convoy' and despair that we could ever come together to repel any type of invasion. We'd either be trying to assess blame, or fighting over whether the invasion was real or 'fake news'

They'd welcome it until the Russkies started shooting back.
Saw a headline yesterday saying that Vlad is still planning on going to the G-20 summit - WTF?
