Oops, there it is. Broken down vehicle - looks like maybe on 208. Guy is going to try towing it himself. You should see the jerryrigging he has set up. 🤣🤣🤣

Overall, Spotsy’s debut was a bore. The vehicle breakdown I mentioned above; a woman asleep in her car in a business parking lot; and the show ended with a warrant service.

Although Spotsylvania County’s debut has been boring, following it in the WOS group has not. Someone there knows whomever is pulled over on the show. The comments are hilarious.
On a side note, I want to thank you all for tolerating me here on this site. You all have been a lifelifor me. I have no one to talk with or even text anymore, so this is my outlet to the world and people. I appreciate you!

I had to leave the WOS - too much judgement even for me. Was like constantly listening to a bunch of old gossips.

It was the folks who rejoiced when people ODed that did me in. You know, I'm no fan of addicts myself. But I've yet to meet an addict or alcoholic who said "Damn, this is the life I want to lead for sure!" And while it's a choice to take that first drink, pill, hit whatever, it's also not something people ever think will destroy their lives.
One of the spouse's friends passed away earlier this year from various illnesses (ultimately liver failure) caused from years of drinking and drugs. Started in HS with weed and beer. Escalated up to heroin at one point. Guy was an amazing person who was kind and funny and did his damnest to try and get clean - ended up living under overpasses and such for quite a while. I can guarantee that neither Jimmy or his friends would have tolerated even a sip of beer if they had known it would have lead to what it did. Same thing with my dad and others I have known.
I think we need to do a LOT more study on why one person can have a drink or take a painkiller and move right along, while a second person will destroy their lives to get that feeling back if only for a second.

So, Spotsy actually got some significant time tonight. (I missed the first part, but I understand there was wa warrant served.) Most exciting was the shots fired in an upscale neighborhood. Over half a dozen rifle shots hit a home, breaking windows. Owner wasn’t there but there were several witnesses. They also pulled over a drunk woman (who also seemed drugged, too, because she was very fidgety and couldn’t stand still) driving with 3 kids in the car. She blew a .19 or something like that.

After reading the comments on WOS, the drunk driver was pulled over on Gordon Road. The shots fired was in the Chancellor area.
when the deputy arrived for the drive by, neighbors were gathering; a few were armed! Deputy asks one guy to put down his handgun. Another guy says, “oh, he’s fine.” Deputy says, “you call me here for shots fired and first guy I see has a gun! What am I supposed to think? Why are you carrying a gun?” And the guy (not the carrier) says, “why wouldn’t he?” Another guy walks up holding a handgun. She asks for it. He says it’s unloaded. She checks. He’s also carrying a rifle on his back! He said he was ex military - over 40 years.
Holy shit! Spotty is strapped for fighting.

Hmmmm - bet they were all nice white folk too.
And this is what it's going to start coming to - shots fired. Police show up to a bunch of gun toting fools all claiming to be the good guys with guns. If I were that deputy, I'd basically say that there were multiple armed people at scene - impossible to tell if any were involved, and witnesses refused to put down their firearms and cooperate.
Nothing to see here folks. Call us when you're willing to follow some common-sense rules and cooperate.

Exactly. And it’s the good ones that notify the cop as soon as s/he arrives that they are armed. The ones that don’t are the scary ones.

Finally, 2345, 14 minutes before the end of the show, Spotsylvania pulls a car for running a stop sign and no taillights. While talking to the driver, deputy says, “is that a beer there?” Driver: ‘yes, I just bought it. I just got off work.” Deputy: “is it open?” Driver: “yes, but I just had one small sip! Here, you can feel it’s still full!”🤣🤣🤣

Can you tell how well a guy is hung by the way he walks? I worked with a guy that had giant testicles. It was a known fact, but no matter how much I looked, I saw nothing untoward.
The reason I ask is there is a deputy in Daytona that walks like he has a huge penis. Or something gigantic between his legs.

The Greaseman used to say in his "LAWMAN" bits, that he walked like he had a load in his pants. I think he meant shit.
I was watching one of the facebook pages that had a bunch of folks following your show talking about seeing the car/s with teh camera crews but nothing making it to the show. I was asleep well before the time you mentioned. I'm sure everyone was ecstatic.

There’s one deputy in Berkeley County, SC that always seems to pull over non-English speakers. It’s hilarious watching him try to communicate with them. He even tries translation apps. He lost patience a few weeks ago and just gave up and sent the driver on their way.

I missed the first Spotsy segment (I had a real hard time getting my ass in gear today), but caught it on the rerun. It was the opener! And, they were going to let the guy go if he could find a ride. (He was really really really sauced. I’m surprised he could even get the key in the ignition!). But I think they were from Locust Grove and it was going to take over 20 minutes for a ride to arrive. They had him try Uber, but his credit card was over the limit (living the dream!). He didn’t seem to grasp this when they tried explaining it to him. So, he’s going to the drunk tank, but I think it’s for public intoxication, not DUI.

If you aren't operating the vehicle, which I was always taught to take the keys out and toss them in the back seat. Yes, I know that won't work if you're pulled over whilst you were driving. But if you are, say, sitting in your car, not moving and not being observed driving, then this can prevent them from charging you with the D part of DUI. I'll take a Walking Under the Influence any day.
Maybe the guy ate the fish at Kickback Jack's, it's nauseating.

I say that the police take the keys and give you 10 minutes to arrange a ride while they write up the charges/tickets whatnot. No ride, then you go to the station. And either way, your car gets locked up by the side of the road. Someone can drive it to the station and leave the keys at the desk, or it can be towed - your choice, but again, you get those 10 minutes to decide. You get your car back the next day.
We want to stop people from driving impaired, the only way to really do it is to make it damned expensive and inconvenient. But too many people still want to believe that police officers have some sort of 6th sense to determine who committed a real crime and who is safe to go. Did that deputy really believe that Joe 6-pack was going to drive straight home and not drink any more of his open beer?

No way this guy was making any decisions! And his car was running, so he was operating it. His buddy wasn’t nearly as drunk but again, not capable of driving. He was able to arrange a ride. The original deputy told the really drunk dude he was saving him $10k by allowing him to arrange a ride. That seems like a pretty good deterrent. But, I must admit to driving in this condition. Once was after attending a Christmas party in White Oak, MD. When my ride dropped me off at my car parked on the base here in n Dahlgren, I assured him I’d crash with a friend that lived right off base. But I didn’t. Instead, after holding my breath while driving between 2 gates (I was seeing double), I tried to drive home to Fredericksburg. I finally wised up and stopped at my husband’s house. I had been there once, an a second date! Of course, he let me crash there.
One of the last segments was also in Spotsy. Another drunk. He kept saying his brother was late for work. He told the deputy that he had been downtown but needed to get to Walmart. (He was pulled over outside of an apartment complex somewhere.) They got him out of the car and we’re talking to him about doing some sobriety tests. He kept asking for his water. 🤣🤣🤣. So, they cuffed him. Closing credits.

My brother got 3. Just a license suspension each time. After #2, he got a lawyer who managed to get DUI 1 wiped from his record. And I agree with you - should sit your ass in jail at least 6 months after the first.

My husband got one (shortly before we met). He was home for Christmas and he had spent the evening with his brother in Lynchburg. He was driving back to his parents in Bedford. With his 2 young boys in the car. He was a well known athlete in Bedford. The judge went easy on him. He had just finished ASAP classes when we met.
I’ve been accused a few times because of him. He always had a cooler wherever we went, so there were always open containers and the smell of beer and belches. I remember one night we had been to some school in the bowels of rural eastern VA (I believe it was Mathews). Driving home on this little 2 lane road, I was pulled over. By this point, hubby was totally soused. The trooper actually took me to his car to talk to me. I guess he was convinced by that conversation. I knew I’d fail sobriety tests because I was exhausted.

The last one my brother got was at my cousin's bachelor party. Cops drove him home, but he should have been arrested and jailed on the spot. My uncle knew the police chief and tried to pull some strings. Chief said that he should thank God that brother was still alive given the level that he blew on the breathalizer.
He got lucky - he had only been married 2 months, and my SIL laid down the law big time and told him to get his shit together or else. And he did it. She's pretty bat-shit crazy, but she saved his bacon - without her, he would have turned out like my dad. Nice guy, but went from job to job as he'd lose the previous one. Had amazing potential that was wasted due to booze.
Brother retired to a house on the back green of his favorite golf course and is living the good life - he and SIL divorced a while ago.

Spotsylvania opened the show tonight. It was a domestic call. Young couple with children. Both parties were drunk. Father had custody. Mother was visiting children. Youngest child was having trouble breathing (10 months) and mom wanted to take him to the hospital. She called 911 about the domestic, not for the child. Deputy says she can’t drive and he can’t drive. Only option was to call for an ambulance. She argues, he arrests her for drunk in public. Her biggest concern was that she was being taped. She kept cussing and screaming at the media guy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Deputy did call for an ambulance.

And it’s flurrying in Wilkes-Barre!
(I always thought it was pronounced “bar” but Dan Abrams says “bear-y”.)
