I have this big blister on my back. I first noticed it a couple days ago and it was dime-sized. Now it’s close to a half dollar. I can’t believe it hasn’t popped yet, as it’s smack dab in the middle of my back (several inches below the giant mole). I know once it pops, it can get infected and it will hurt bigly (it’s already painful). I’m not sure what I can do to protect it besides bandaging the area?

When I was under the house moving some plumbing I caught my forearm on one of the insulation anchors and ripped off a half dollar size chunk of skin. Talk about blood! Cleaned it up and let it scab over and then of course after the scab was nice and crusty I started picking at it until it would re-scab... you know teh drill... and ultimately heal. Well, about a week or so ago I guess the new skin wasn't pleased at all with being subjected to sunburn. Had a real nice blister there on top of it. I lanced it with a needle and played hell for a couple of days trying to get it to stay drained. Yeah, it's a little painful but nothing too bothersome. Now for it to be on your back, I dunno. That could be a bit more uncomfortable if you can't reach it.

I’m surprised it hasn’t popped yet, with as much squirming, scooting, and wriggling I do to get to the far side of the bed. I’ve got some large bandages somewhere, as well as 4x4’s and tape but I can’t find it. The worst part is I can’t see what I’m doing. So I took a bandaid but only got one side covered, so I took another. Checked - missed again so I added another. This afternoon, I poked around and discovered that part of the blister was exposed so I added another. 🤣🤣 I’ve had this issue on my lower back many times. I guess the area was easier to access.
