for \m/ IRON MAIDEN \m/ at the Cap One Arena in DC? It's the first one I've ever clicked on.

The nosebeeds are only 30 bucks (plus "fees" which means 50). Floor 150. Best seats 285+ and no that's just not going to happen. Floor? Never had a real good time with 1000 people's heads to see through. So if I were to actually figure out a way to go, I'd have to sit up there in the rafters and I've never been to a show where I hated my seats for any amount of money.

Anyway, I think I'd rather save up to see someone maybe not so old and in a place that suits my anxiety with large crowds and seas of people. I hear some iteration of the O'Jays is gonna be at the state fair?

Last time I saw a concert at that arena was back before 9/11 - The Boss came in, and I was willing to cough up some coin for that ticket. We were in the second row of the third bowl and had a nice view. OTOH, the pitch of those seats seems to be different than I remembered them being from Caps games. It was a fantastic concert, but did spend more than one song worrying about falling. That's also when I found myself saying 'I'm too old for this shit!'

Strangely enough, while I worry about falling out of the third bowl, or the bowl itself collapsing, I never have that fear about the second bowl - pitch is pretty much the same, and the odds of the third bowl collapsing and landing on me haven't changed. I guess money can buy happiness

I was at the store today when my back said "FUCKIT!". I had the cart to hold me up. Was thinking about standing shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of people my age at the Iron Maiden concert and the potential for the domino effect. Maybe I'll wait for the DVD.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is coming to Wolf Trap - tickets don't go on sale till Friday so have no idea on prices. But it looks like dance lessons are involved. Hmmmmm.
