So The 'Honorable' Texas judge Kacsmaryk authored several papers where he clearly stated that abortion was immoral and against God's wishes and should be banned by any means possible. When he was told he might get the nod for the bench, he asked his cronies to put their names as the author and remove his, which they did.
Now of course, he's ruled that the FDAs approval for the abortion pill was wrong and it needs to be pulled from shelves.
And it seems that much like his pal Clarence, he too has hidden money that wasn't reported properly.
Maybe we need a new law of the land and constitutional amendment - Thou shall disclose ALL outside interests, including documents submitted to schools, journals and letters to the editor from the past 40 years for review. And thou shalt show that your rulings on matters regarding subjects you have a personal opinion or interest in were completely impartial, or you will swear in advance of your appointment to ALWAYS recuse yourself from cases regarding said matters. And thou shalt hire a competent account to review your income statements and taxes, and swear to report EVERY penny of income.
Because thou knowest that thou must be purer than Caesar's wife and the driven snow in order to serve. And thou will always remember that. Shalt thou trip up, then you shalt be removed from your position IMMEDIATELY.
Even then, I doubt it will stop these scumbags, but one can dream, right?

Sorry didn't see this til now. I always try to give at least one response to threads that others start but my "New" notifications don't always show up for some reason.
"Elections have consequences". Even still, it's SAD commentary that radicals in very high places can pervert our basic liberties based of their religious beliefs (see: impunity) when it's fairly clear that the authors and signatures of our Constitution were soundly opposed to a theocracy. Historically, the courts were supposed to interpret the law as written and leave their personal shit aside.
Ethical malfeasance is also something we should never accept from anyone with that power and yet it's possible we could have a POTUS47 that has an 8x10 cell as an oval office. Doomed much?

What’s even sadder is that these religious fanatics are intent on foisting their beliefs on everyone, despite the fact that a vast majority (70%) of Americans favor abortion in some form and want separation of church and state.

His acceptance of the plaintiffs' standing was judicial malpractice.
