RIP.
It saddens me because his “Day-O” was #1 when I was born. My mom said it was playing constantly while she was in delivery. 🤣🤣

My husband said "He was only 86"
Isn't it funny how our perspectives change? When we were in our 20's, we'd say he was an old man.
Now it's "they were only 108" - so young!

I think he was 96. Born in 1927. Don't quote me it's been a long week and it's only Tuesday
If you had asked me I wouldn't have known if he was still alive. I'm pretty sure Sidney Poitier, who is more of a personal favorite of mine, passed a few years ago. Again feel free to correct me.
Now I feel like having a bah nah nah.

I loved Poitier! And yes, minx , our perspective changes as we age. When I was a kid and my dad turned 40, it terrified me. I thought he was close to death!

Hahaha!
When Jack turned 40, my eldest couldn't sleep. She came out to the living room and when I asked what was wrong, she replied "Daddy is going to die!" WTH? Oh yes, Daddy was about to turn 40, and we all know that's death age.
So spent a whole bunch of time explaining that people lived into their 80s and 90s, so daddy was safe.
You okay now? Yes - how old are you mommy? 37 Oh, so you only have three years left!
Gotta love 6 year old kids!
