This has been common for how many years, going on decades now? Maybe the employers are overstepping and maybe you (the one obsessed with attention) should put away the narcissism.
Nothing wrong with posting your life on social media but discretion is key. Unfortunately some people take it to the next level and aren't smart enough to think about potential consequences. It's like the ones that habitually tailgate other drivers. They know they're going to get brake-checked every. single. time. yet they feed on the ignorance of their actions and when the impact finally comes they are completely broken when the cop gives them the ticket.

True, but I think the tiktok folks are taking it to the next level - let me see if I can go viral by complaining about my job. Then the make a new tiktok crying when they get what they want - going viral - and find that they're out of a job.
Kind of like the January 6th insurrectionists posting selfies and videos and then being shocked that they were arrested - "I didn't know what I was doing!"
Fuck around and find out...
One of my favorites was the influencer who documented every step of her pregnancy, from the positive test through delivery. Got tons and tons of views and was totally cashing in. Then she got all butthurt because lots of her followers hated the weird ass name she chose for the kid. Next video is of her crying saying that all those mean people were hurting her feelings and affecting her mental health. I felt very sorry for the kid, because we all know it's life (including mommy's public breakdown over their name) will be intimately documented and publicized so mommy can have followers and hopefully cash in.

I wasn't even aware that toks were monetized. That would explain all the half naked girls twerking and showing off their camel toes. Honestly, I can't even.

Yup - influencers are everywhere. Although from what I've read about it, it's a very hard and stressful job.
You have to find good content and get clicks on it, and then you spend your life trying to create even better content and worrying about clicks and schedules. Lots of people said their lives became consumed by it. All their time was spent thinking about whether something would make good content, or obsessively checking likes and followers. Sounds like a small slice of hell to me.

Tucker got fired for texts. If he can get ditched, anyone can. (I wonder if the my pillow ads are still running? That’s all he could get.)

I haven't seen a my pillow ad in a while. Probably because Lindell is scraping the factory floor looking for pennies to pay off that $5mil claim against him. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
And texts (to me) are a little different than social media - usually you expect them to stay private. Whereas on social media, you're proclaiming your views to the world at large. (and yes, I know that emails and texts done with a company-issued phone or equipment are fair game for your employer to read!)

They show them quite often on Oxygen. “My pillow 2.0! With temperature regulating thread!” Woohoo! Crappy pillows.

A co-worker has one of them, and likes it. He did say you have to break it in some. And he bought it when the first started, not to support Lindell. (But while a nice dude, still a moderate conservative, so who knows how he votes)

I bought one a long long time ago. It sucked! It’s just pieces of foam rubber cut up into small strips and put into a cotton bag.
Now my Sutera pillow - that’s a thing of comfort!

They have or had a couple of pallets of the shit at Ollie's. Looked like they were selling pretty well. Not that I would spend one penny on something that idiot makes money from.

I read reviews of them, and couldn't figure out why anyone would want one.
Got an orthopedic pillow for side sleepers at IKEA - working very nicely so far.

I’ve seen the m pillow ad several times this morning, as oxygen is showing it at least once per break. The acting is horrendous, as is the product. If anyone suddenly appeared behind my medicine cabinet I’d call the cops immediately, but this couple seems thrilled? It’s such a weird concept.
The Sutera pillow is also for side sleepers. It’s a very odd shape but I love it! I recently bought an anti slip mat from them for the shower and feel much more comfortable taking a shower now. And I love their bath stone, too.

Today's question - am I the only weirdo who buys multiple pillows? When I find one I like, I usually get at least one more 'just in case'.
Some people hoard paper or empty butter containers. I hoard pillows and blankets.

Nope. I usually get two of most things, if I like it. Yesterday, I received more panties (having no working washer dryer means I go through them quickly, even with bladder leak pads) and they were delivered in the biggest box! I thought I had made a mistake on the order, but nope, just the 4 packs I ordered but packed in a giant box.
