Whatever that is....
Chuck Schumer @senschumer The Republican Default on America Act is DOA in the Senate.
It’s a ransom note to the American people to suffer the Republican radical, right-wing agenda or suffer a catastrophic default.
Democrats won’t allow it.
McCarthy can suck it. Oh sure, 32 trillion in debt is terrible aweful unthinkable inconceivable doomsday type shit so what does he do? Goes after TANF, Medicaid, and Food Stamps. No mention of cutting back the Pentagon's budget or making it pass an audit (See Jon Stewart's interview with Dep Sec Of Def) let alone holding it accountable for one penny of 850 BILLION dollars. No mention of cutting back on budgets for the State Dept et al, and not a whisper about cutting back on the double platinum congressional lifetime benefits or perks.

They lost the compassion a long time ago. They used to be pro law enforcement, too, but not anymore.
And they didn’t give a shit about the debt when the former fuckface was in office. A large portion of it is his fault (the huge tax break for the rich).

I wouldn't have an issue with the military budget if I thought the money went where it belonged. To things like innovations for the upcoming centuries like cyberattacks and training soldiers. Updating military housing, so soldiers and their families live in safe housing without mold and other issues. Protective equipment for soldiers being deployed. Fully funding the VA and truly guaranteeing that every soldier, especially the ones deployed (and I do count drone operators in that number) have full access to medical and mental health care.
Instead, we pay defense contractors to develop new weapons that we sell or give to our 'allies', who sell the technology to their friends (who are not OUR friends). And those contractors don't have any issues with paying their employees rather well, do they?
The Republicans are utter shit from top to bottom. McCarthy didn't get full support because MTG and her ilk didn't think the cuts went FAR ENOUGH. Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Of course. Because we can't take care of actual people!

I was reading a column today (Dana Millbank’s) that described the process one of the new reps from VA went through to vote for the bill. Even though her district (Se Va) is getting tons of money from the environmental bill for wind farms, she voted for the bill that will take it all away!
