Going to CO tomorrow morning for my nephew's college graduation. So I'm out of pocket tomorrow and possibly Monday, but I promise to check in no later than Tuesday.
We're going to Red Rocks on Monday - they have free tours of the ampetheater, and lots of trails with scenic views. After that, I may need to nap for 12 hours!

Trying to catch my breath - hiking (or even a lot of walking) at 5000+ feet is not for the low-lying weak! Red Rocks was amazing! I would love to be there at sunset, or seeing a good show. Long hike to the top, but well worth it. We also stayed at a mountain ranch for one night. 7600+ ft, and yours truly decided that visiting the ‘sunset view spot’ was a great idea. Am I a jackass or what? By the time we made it, I was wheezing because I was so out of breath! Back to lower lands. The place we’re staying is amazing - nice quiet neighborhood with a fantastic host. Lots of walking paths too. And the Mexican food is out of this world! However, the air (extremely dry) and altitude is messing with my head, throat and sinuses something fierce. Will be happier on lower ground. Here are some pictures.

That place is so cool. Billy Strings was scheduled to play there that night and/or the following night of your pix. I was TOTALLY thinking of him when I made the previous post. My Spidey senses speak for themselves.
Billy Strings is bluegrass/new grass and trust me, worth every penny they'd charge to see him.
