So she’s headed back to DC after a prolonged illness (shingles, which is no joke, especially when you’re 89).
Here’s my question though. Why haven’t the dems forced her to step down? She’s 89, very frail and having significant memory issues. They all know that her appointed replacement won’t be Republican.
I get the whole ‘tiny majority’ thing, and I also get the ‘letting her leave on her own terms’ too.
But let’s look at how well that worked out with RBG. Thanks to the whole ‘letting her leave on her terms’, we now have the reversal of Roe v Wade with a whole shitload of other bad stuff in the pipeline.
Yeah, I know they need her autograph to go after Thomas but I wish that someone made her step down before this.

Just look at the ages of quite a few there. They don’t want to be forced out, so they aren’t going to do it to anyone else?

Yeah, that's a problem, and not just her.

Truth. They need to have a mandatory retirement age. Say 75. A nice generous amount of time, but done before your senile.
Not sure, but isn’t there a mandatory retirement age for regular governor employees?

Only for certain jobs, like Air Traffic Controller.
I think if some test is required it needs to be against all of them, otherwise it's age discrimination (really). But I'd be good with testing all of them.

They pushed my dad out, as they did me. My dad was a “technical 13”, which means he was a worker, not a boss. But they wanted to promote a young guy and pushed and pushed. I told him to sue for age discrimination. But he retired, since they told him he could retire as a GS13. Me, I didn’t fight either. They have ways of making you miserable.
