I am shocked, shocked, to find gambling going on in here.
ETA: Remember how Obama was ceasing to use for-profit prisons? If you saw any of the images of Pence looking at border prisoners (oddly, only young men - where are the children, the young women, and older men and women?), note the only time we tolerate treating animals like that is on their way to slaughter.

Pam I seriously doubt that Hitler spent $750 a day per guest, but if the corruption was as great in 1939 as it is today, who knows. I think most ism forms of governing would work if they were free of corruption, but we will never know.

So, y'all wonder why we conservatives want to keep the gov't the hell out of our lives to the greatest extent possible, and why the gov't always spends more to do something than private industry? Its called corruption, you can't get rid of it as it often costs more to investigate and prosecute it than the corruption itself costs - maybe not in this case, but you know... there's the $800 toilet seats and the $300 combination wrenches that you can get for $5 at Lowes... The more gov't you employ, the poorer you're going to be, and that's a fact.
Now, lets abolish the EPA (redundant... every state has their own, so that's all we need), Dept. of Education (Fed gov't meddling in what is a local gov't function), Dept. of Energy (chiefly giving away great gobs of money for "disadvantaged" to insulate their living spaces, other expensive shit like that), Homeland Security (re-constitute INS, otherwise we have tons of other law enforcement to do this job, and let / make the airlines do their own damn security on THEIR dime, not the taxpayers), and of course the IRS, which is totally unnecessary to collect taxes if we would just switch (back) to consumption taxes to run the country.
"That gov't is best that governs least" - Henry David Thoreau in "Civil Disobedience."
