I finally cut the cord! I’ve been wearing Fruit of the Loom men’s sweat pants for many many years. My only complaint is that cord that is a loop - I couldn’t figure out a way to tie it so that my pants would stay up (I buy them in extremely large sizes because I like baggy, loose clothing). I had forgone them for another brand this year that has a regular tie, but they are more form fitting and aren’t soft like the FOTL ones. Yesterday, I decided to cut the loop so I could actually tie the cord. Yay!
I was worried that I’d lose the tie when I washed the sweats. But since I don’t have a working washer, that is no longer an issue.

Yay for comfort! And I do hear you on not wanting to lose the string of them.
And FOTL is super soft - I love their sweats.

FOTL's quality has gone to complete shit IMO. Just got giant pack of socks and you can see through the gd things. Boxer briefs lose their elasticity in the legs almost immediately. I blame Walmart because when they used to sell the living piss out of fotl tee-shirts stupid cheap for the good quality. Can't be doin that crap here!! So now the shirts are made from the same shit as these socks.... and a couple dollars more.
