After 20 hours of work this week, the House of Representatives are again off, after voting on the latest CR. They have one week to get 6 bills done! This group is so unproductive! Bums.

Do they still vote to adjourn?

I’m not sure. From what I read, it sounds like the speaker just dismisses everyone. McCarthy did the same. Their work week starts on Tuesdays at the earliest and ends usually midday on Thursdays. I would have loved a job like that! And, they just had a two and a half week break for Presidents Day.
I am fuming. 😡 Everything is so fucked.

This is beyond ridiculous. Johnson just keeps hoping that if he does this enough, the Democrats will cave and give him all the budget cuts and abortion regulations that he and his batshit crazy friends want.
And it's totally exhausting.
There needs to be some serious reforms on how bills get voted on once they pass committees. If the bill makes it out of committee, it gets voted on. Period.

I would second that but it takes away a political tool and neither side wants that.

This counts as another lost opportunity for the democrats. Just a day ago the wingnuts were whinging about Biden eating ice cream with Seth Meyers instead of working on the multiple matters of national concern that they are currently taking a break from, even though there are bills addressing several of those concerns........ none of which are Hunter. Which I'm sure they'll get right back to, next week.

Again, the GOP part of the House is leaving early this week (Wednesday) for their annual retreat in WV. Never mind that there are still huge funding bills to be negotiated and voted on before the end of next week! They are useless.

Again, the democrats are missing a huge opportunity here - they should be screaming from the rooftops that they are there to work - where are their counterparts?
At the same time, why should they give a shit? As soon as Trump is elected, he'll get rid of Congress and the Senate for good.
