There is no fricken rhyme or reason to it either.
Needed gas on Monday - every station except 1 was at 3.39/gal.
You can't tell me these companies don't get together and fix prices.

Okay having already prepared myself for the obvious reapons-
Why do the prices go down, then?

To fuck with our minds?
Seriously, I do think it's a strategy on the part of large oil companies.
They raise the price, then see the reaction. So 3.55 to 3.60 is too high. Let's lower it to $3.42. People are happy - the price of gas has gone down! Yay! Of course the majority of folks don't pay attention to the fact that it was $3.39 before the hike. So more money to the gas company!
Don't get me started on the price increase before major holidays - wow suddenly gas becomes a scarce item right before Memorial Day, only to return in abundance by June 2nd.

Oh and UPS has laid off a bunch of folks, but their CEO is getting a 4.4 million dollar raise.
But according to the MAGA crowd, this is perfectly fine.
