I was watching some random reels this morning and one showed a ship crashing into a bridge in Baltimore and the whole bridge just collapsing into the water. I was like "yeah, sure" since half the videos are fake.
Then I checked my google news feed.

OMG, one of my worst nightmares come to life.
Those poor people - initial reports are that the cargo ship lost power and they couldn't steer it. Which is another holy shit - they don't have a back-up steering system???

As the spouse noted, that ship couldn't have done a better job of taking out that bridge. Looks like a planned demolition.

In the video you can see all the lights on the ship go dark.
It's somewhat fortunate that if this was going to happen it was 130 in the morning vs 130 in the afternoon.
