There's a show called 90-day fiance. Never watched, but the premise is that a woman is given a 90-day visa and matched with a man in the US. The couple have 90 days to decide if they want to tie the knot before the visa expires. I googled it to see the premise, lest you'd think I'd lower myself far enough to watch.
My post concerns this snippet from the FLS TV listings for tonight. The men are off to visit the women's home countries and contains this gem...
Kyle, a sperm-donor hobbyist, introduces his love story with Anika, whom he will soon join in Malta.
A sperm-donor hobbyist? Sounds like 'Kyle, a total incel' introduces his love story...
This raises some questions to me 1) How often is this guy donating? 2) How much does this pay? 3) How desperate is poor Anika to get a green card?
And no, I am not going to find out the answers for you! I already feel like I need to shower simply by knowing all of this!

Lol! Never heard of it and I completely despise those shows..
I would have been more understanding if he were a sperm donor enthusiast, as the NBA and NFL are chock full of them.
So much TV these days is just plain shit. which is why I hardly watch it anymore. Funny story- If you browse the menu on Netflix prime for movies, there's like two or three predominant themes to the majority of them. Retired hitman, ex special ops, super cop, et al, has to come out from the shadows to rescue their kidnapped relative or take revenge on their killer......
How many times does it take to rack a round into a pistol or shotgun? They do it like at least twice, but I've seen it many more than that, on the same gun lol... yet the two bullets they wasted don't matter because they have indefinite rounds. And if they run out, they outrun the 25 guys shooting at them with machine guns and still kill 3 bad guys by throwing their empty pistol at them.
Ugh š© on š«

Netflix does have some good shows, but of the top 10, 6 are violent ones.
I just finished watching Loudermilk, and it was hysterical. Guy is a recovering alcoholic leading an AA group, but he's a total asshole. And The group itself is hysterical, along with the priest who runs the church. I was laughing like hell at some of the parts.
Right now we're watching Franklin on Apple TV+ (we have Netflix and Apple, and steal the youngest's Peacock). It covers Franklin while he is Paris during the revolution trying to convince the French to throw their lot in with us. Michael Douglas is Franklin and is doing a good job.

We subscribe to Netflix about once every 4 months. Binge watch the movies that are watchable and then cancel before the next month is due. We have Prime Video for movies and YouTube TV (using our oldest's login that Google allows for families) that's just like basic cable only streamed. So all that and there's still very little I can watch.
Do you remember this line, "I've got thirteen channels of shit on the TV to choose from"?
Yeah, Roger, now I've got thirteen hundred channels of the same.

Glad Iām not missing much!
I bought a Hitchcock collection that contains all his movies and āthe bestā of his tv shows. The first in the collection was a movie that I hadnāt seen in its entirety - just bits and pieces. āSaboteurā. Enjoyed it.

Can't say I remember any of them except Birds and I Psycho, but it was on every Saturday night on channel 20 in DC. Do not quote me on the schedule but I remember FO SHO that Creature Feature with Count Gore Deval (passed away recently) came on at 11 on either Friday or Saturday night and AH was on either before or after.

As a kid, I loved Creature Feature. My mom was a huge B-movie fan so we watched every week.
A while back when the youngest was in HS, they had a snow day. Mr. Minx used liberal leave and was at home watching TV. I was in the next room over working. I hear her go into his room and say "What are you watching?" 'It's a documentary. About birds.' "Okay. Wait. Is this the one where the birds peck people and attach them?" 'No. It's a documentary.' She sits down to watch with him. 10 minutes pass. 'Hey! That bird just landed on her head!!' (she did stay to watch the entire movie BTW)
A week passes. He comes upstairs and says to her "Hey, there's another documentary coming on in a few minutes! This one's about a shark..."
