Just me out here in King George, trying to DVR some movies. "City of God" has subtitles. Delete. "Van Helsing" was split clean in two by the infernal emergency alert test, with a minute of movie missing. (Say that 5 times fast.) Delete. Get something recorded today? Maybe, maybe not.

Good grief, CF "bulbs" stink when they burn out...
3 CF's behind me as I sit at the computer. One burned out last week too. This is a different one from that one. They last longer than incandescent? Maybe, but they don't last forever. Best thing is not pouring heat into the room for the air conditioner to deal with in the summer. Otherwise, a P poor way to generate heat in the winter - electrical resistance heating is expensive.

They're a pain in the ass to dispose of as well. OTOH, I've been using my office one for almost a year, and no incandescent has lasted that long.
