Plea agreement she agreed to. They weren't going to get a conviction ? ? He pled guilty to misdemeanor sexual misconduct instead of rape. More than likely the victim did not want to deal with the trauma of testifying in open court about what she had endured so she went for the plea deal. One of the main reasons rapists get away with their crimes is because they go unreported. Victims don't want to endure a physical exam, questioning, humiliation, emotional trauma, etc. |

Yep, they get raped physically and then later, emotionally. It never ends. When will these women learn not to be attractive to rapists?

I don't think there should be any plea deals for LEOs charged in crimes period. The best interests of the community and state are not served when a person entrusted to enforce the laws breaks them and agrees to plead to lesser charges. He should have to answer for what he did, in full. It's unfortunate that the victim would have to continue to be dragged through it, but at the end of it, should be empowered by putting him away for the maximum amount of time possible.

I agree. Any time a LEO breaks the law, they should get the harshest punishment available. Make an example of them, and show us "civilians" that nobody is above the law.
