Of course the cops can't even just say they're sorry. "Sorry" is too close to admitting that something is wrong, much less they might have done something wrong. It's the same reason I never tell my friends "sorry" when they tell me a loved one of theirs died; I just always respond "no comment."

I actually posted one last week where the trigger happy motherfer shot the judge's dog. He apologized to her too.

If you want to go hiking in Denali National Park the rangers there advise that you carry pepper spray. If it is thought that pepper spray might deter a 600 pound grizzly then what are the chances it might deter a 60 pound dog?
