Well, I don't much like him either, but 30 years is probably enough. We have a really harsh legal system, putting people in prison for life for basically pot possession in some cases. We need to make about half the illegal things legal, and multiply by 0.25 the time of a lot of other people's sentences, esp. those which did not cause blood to flow nor otherwise physically harm people. Should Bernie Madhoff spend life in prison? Well, considering he's pretty old, probably - any decent sentence is probably life for him, but 25 years for that level of crime should be enough, I don't see a good reason to go handing out life for basically property crimes.
