Listen, if you will, to the "media" coverage of the situation while it is fresh. CH 4 had already dusted off the old retired fby profiler they keep on retainer, less than an hour after the event, he was online and disseminating. No real facts, just regurgitate the standard fear and helplessness loop of videos, and associate it with "known" events. Nothing is known, yet after 3 hours of this you will "know" what you think you know, and will argue your knowledge with anyone. Yep, same stuff different day.

fify. There's something happening here, lots of hate and lots of intolerance, and not so surprisingly, lots of violence. I am not so sure some of this violence is not encouraged or sponsored to achieve the 'higher cause', as expressed by some politicians. I once asked a surgeon how he could amputate a person's leg or arm and he said: " Let the pain get bad enough, and he will beg you to cut it off." Do you understand politics at all? I'm talking about Our Nation, end justifies the means.

OK, here's what we do.
From the lead set for us by the Founding Fathers:

What we do is activate the militia, especially since the moron in chief now chooses to fight the war on US soil rather than send troops to the enemy's home country and kick his a** there.
Rather than men and women drilling on the town square, the gov't instead encourages everyone that is eligible to carry a firearm concealed. The gov't provides free combat handgun training for all. The objective is to get the number of adult citizens carrying weapons up to near 50%. So, the next time a terrorist attempt to attack a crowd of 300 people, they get 150 rounds of return fire immediately. 1 or 2 of them might just be instantly fatal.
That's probably the most effective way to combat this, and with everyone providing their own weapon, wouldn't cost the gov't much execpt for the training, which the NRA could probably be contracted to provide at a very inexpensive rate.
Oh, yeah, we'd need to legally provide for CCW in all states, maybe by passing a superceding federal CCW, and outlawing gun free zones (this last incident happened in a gun free zone, as usual, 'cuz the entireity of California is one, effectively, unless you're politically well-connected.
