good health insurance. Doc says it's now a complete tear and so I need to schedule that rotator cuff surgery soon.

Accousti. I tore it almost 7 years ago, now it's separated from the bone. Surgery is easy, recovery is long.

FYL.
So that's gonna suck. The surgery part, not the insurance covering it part.
And the rehab part, too. That's gonna suck, too.

Surgery is outpatient. The recovery is going to suck. I'll probably have it done like in October.

Having rehabbed both shoulders, I advise you not to let the PT slack and continue it after the therapist releases you. My right shoulder is still behind my left one because I didn't keep up the PT afterward, and I had it done 2 years before the left one. I'm still working on both of them, but the right will always be weaker, I'm afraid. I also feel my therapist was better for the left one. She used an entirely different regimen and it seemed to be more effective.

Ick - sorry you have to have surgery, and even sorrier for the long recovery.
