This to me is the most chilling line in the story Other officers from the University of Utah and the Department of Public Safety, which provide security for the hospital, did not intervene during the arrest.
I mean WTF? When your own security team won't step in to intervene in any way for something as minor as this, what the hell would they do if a junkie with a gun comes in demanding drugs.
I think that this nurse is amazing - it takes a lot of guts to stand your ground in that situation, and she came through!

I wish she would've made him chase her around the desk a few times and wore him down a little bit. Would've made him even madder and probably tried to taze her (they only kill black people so she was fine).
The scariest part to me is she doesn't work for the police or the courts, and even if they have a signed warrant, I still don't think that they can force her to perform a draw on a patient against protocol. So what exactly did he arrest her for? Doing her job and following the rules of her contract with the hospital? Very VERY dangerous territory. Note that "no charges were filed". That's because she broke no laws, and was arrested anyway. Not following an order "because I said so" doesn't appear in the law journals or criminal justice literature. She should file criminal complaint for assault, and false arrest and imprisonment, as well as a civil case for the same, as well as the obvious emotional and mental stress he inflicted on her. About 40 million would work if I were on that jury.

Douchebro cop is also an ambulance driver. He needs to be made unemployed from any public service.

I saw that - the amazing thing is that the photographer is telling everyone not to blame Deputy Jack, cause he doesn't want him to lose his job. What the hell? Is this Mayberry, and Barney Fife has fired his one bullet? I understand saying that everyone should stay calm while the investigation takes place, but everyone saying that the dude should still be allowed to carry a firearm?
Insanity is getting worse every day.
