One of the several reasons I quit going to Giant was that they suckered you in with these, let's call them "comparatively reasonable" prices on meat, only to get it on a plate and it be completely worthy of the discount. Meaning the taste, texture, and overall quality was crap.
We started getting our meat at Costco or BJs back then, but now it's whatever is on sale at We Is, and rarely (no pun intended) do we even get beef any more. $16 for a little chuck roast? PHUQ THAT.

I hear you, and that's why I don't call it prime rib, because it isn't. But (start with a conjunction, where's Deb?) at 6.99 it's just a little more than sirloin, and to me it tastes better. I air dry/age it in the garage refrige for as much as 5-10 days to concentrate the flavor and it really seems to help. At.3.99 for the strip roasts, and they look pretty good, you could grind that up or cut into thin steaks.

Is anyone else concerned at the mass amount of meat that Larry obtains? I think it is his quest in life to fill as many freezers as he can.
Bob, you need to intervene and tell Larry that he who dies with the most meat, does not in fact win!

My brother and his 2 sons got a deer apiece a couple weeks ago. 150lbs of just ground meat. I think they said 25 things of summer sausage (about 2 lbs each). Obviously the backstraps but I don't know how much weight that amounts to.
Not that I mind a little venison once in a while but that would last me 5 years.

Friend bought a quarter share of a cow a while back. Every year her husband has faithfully renewed the share. There's only the two of them now, so I am hoping that some of that beef gets gifted to others, and if so that I am first in line.

Well. You all know how I feel about all this meat discussion. I may have to leave the forum for moral reasons. Big loss, right? 😉

I want you to stay but I'm not willing to give up Bratwurst to make it so.

Whoever dies with the most undigested meat in their guts wins.
