My right foot has been keeping me awake for quite a while now. The pain starts about an hour and a half after I crawl into bed and is so intense I’ve briefly considered amputation. Recently, I discovered that walking on it will provide relief but it’s short-lived. This morning when it started up I started thinking and realized that it may be a circulation issue related to the compression socks (anklets) that I’ve been wearing to bed for years to combat muscle spasms and arch pain. I took the right one off and massaged my foot and the relief was nearly immediate! I kept the left one on for a bit but then decided to take it off, too.
Sigh. All that lost sleep! Now hopefully I can enjoy my favorite pastime again.

I thought that you weren't supposed to wear compression socks to bed.

I thought that you weren't supposed to wear compression socks to bed. Someone else asked the same thing. But, every surgery I’ve had has required hip to toe compression socks for the entire time I’m in the hospital. In bed. Besides, they took care of a problem. But that problem wasn’t as bad as the problem they caused, so now I wear regular, fuzzy socks. 😄

Many white eyes laughed when the People started down the Trail Of Beers. For shame.

Still having issues. Tried wearing the same socks to bed that I wore the whole day, but still had intense pain from them. Very weird that I have no pain all day, but lying down brings the pain. Usually, that helps circulation!
