It's not in the gutter, it's a reference to Shit's Creek.

Who wants to get out of the house? Hide! Hide, I say!

Oh wait! Larry, are you getting that big boat at last? Cause if you are, we all want to come along and watch you run over the little boats at Lake Anna. I bet John would even be willing to bring beer, and Pam would leave the house for that!

Was worth it to watch the 450 pounder in spike heels asked not to jump in the cockpit of a $400k boat. You can imagine how that plays. Always entertaining. I was in a Rockfish tournament a few years ago and we talk on the marine radio. The guy we called instigator was off the buoy off Colonial Beach and says this rooster tail was heading towards him from the south. We saw this huge cruiser pass him less than 100 ft at full speed, and all but capsized his 38 ft Trojan. Had DC numbers on it, and I thought he was going down. If you spend any time at all on public waters, you will see things. You just have to see it to believe it.

Last time I spent any significant time in a boat, I was a spotter for water skiing. I love being on boats, but it's never a good idea to tell your friend that your sister will be a great spotter, especially as said sister really, really needs glasses, and can't actually clearly see the skiier.
My brother was savvy enough to know that he had to make HUGE signals and yell, so I'd know what was going on. He also threatened me with bodily harm if I told his 'friend' that I couldn't really see. It made for an interesting summer, but that was a sweet, sweet boat for sure!

My step father had a $55,000 Gambler bass boat. It had a 375hp outboard motor that would easily go 80mph. He took me out to Lake Anna on it and I had to change inderwear after that ride. Nothing but pontoon boats for me from now on.
