I dunno about this yall. My distrust of huge corporations makes me wince at the mere concept of billionaires holding health insurance over my head. The way I read this was it's going to look like a health plan for their employees and not open to the market. I believe this is what used to be called "self insured" and it applied to a company insuring itself, but I don't recall it ever being an employees benefit.
It also makes me wonder how much more buying power they'll have. Not only with what I presume will be within the private health care delivery system (doctors, hospitals, pharmas, etc) but also in the anal cavity of Capitol Hill. What laws and regulations will it trample under foot, like the PPACA for example? All of these questions clear a path through the bullshit leading to the biggest question which is; How will this affect everyone else? Especially those who don't work for big companies with group plans, or meager contributions if they contribute at all, individual plans, medicare & medicaid (slippery slope alert), or people who pay out of pocket, or those who simply use the kneel and pray, and suffer and die systems?
On the other hand it could be a good thing right?
JPMorgan's Dimon said, "The three of our companies have extraordinary resources, and our goal is to create solutions that benefit our U.S. employees, their families and, potentially, all Americans."
Since we're talking about the "endgame"....... that sounds like it is to have us all working for a hand full of billionaires with control over our livelihoods and lives. It'll be awesome!
