If it bothers you that LM wants to be involved in schooling, why is it ok for NRA to do the same? Or is it being involved w/Israel you don't like? Heck, we have a lot in common with Israel - they teach many of our cops how to be afraid, why shouldn't our pre-eminent arms manufacturer be teaching their kids? It's all symbiotic, don't you think? What's the worst that could happen as we feed each other militarization and fear?

The NRA might have sponsored school shooting clubs in the past (Spouse's HS had a shooting range back in the day, but it had been shuttered in the early 60s), but I can find no evidence that they do now, or have for quite a while.
And yes, they do sponsor marksmanship clubs and have provided training instructions for scouts as well. Both are promoting target shooting or skeet shooting. Rather different than having a major US military defense contractor educating kindergartners, don't you think?
And is it me, or does our sole export nowadays consist of military equipment and technology?

I never thought about that but now that you mention it, I do recall PBS often saying "sponsorsored in part by your generous donations and the Acme Bomb Corporation (or Martin Marietta, Dynacorp, et al)"....
But that was Murkins programming Murkins... not ferners!

I think everyone is finally learning the lessons learned by seriously professional indoctrinators: religions.
