Look on stafford talk and see the whining and complaining about having to boil water for a couple of days. These are the same people that cheer when we take out a water plant or power generating station or hospital in other countries.

I actually got off of ST because I couldn't take all the effing whining.
But yeah, I love all the boiled water people - we're inconvenienced for a few days, and SOMEONE WILL PAY!! Same people don't give a shit about lead in the water in DC, or God-only-knows-what in the water in Flint.
But don't worry - they'll throw a bottle of bleach or some baby wipes on a truck that's headed to NC for flood relief and call it all good for their volunteer work.

I always boil my water to get the fluoride out so the government doesn't turn me into a gay frog.

All joking aside, there are many predictions that the next World War will not be over who controls the oil, but who controls the water.
We can get along just fine without oil, but it's not going to be as easy to ditch water. There's a reason why corporations are buying up rights to aquifers, and it's not because they're benevolent.

Nestles has extracted so much aquifer water from California (with their blessings) that the surface strata has shrunk 13 feet in some places. link It takes 10,000 years to refill an aquifer, like the Ogallala , and that doesn't take into account the fracking fluid being pumped into the strata.

"Like the Ogallala"? There aren't many aquifers like the Ogallala, anywhere.
