we would just take a step back from our various dispensing of "freedom" around the world,it might resolve itself much better than we could accomplish? North and South Korea seem to be going ok, and Syria might return to a semblance of stability and the terrorists of the day are being routed. Looks liker there are forces at work that don't want any kind of settlements, anywhere.

Yes, much like slaves would have been freed sooner if they just waited, and women's suffrage would have been sooner if they had just waited. Hell, the Brits would have released the colonies sooner, if the Founding Fathers just patiently waited for it.
Agitating for improvements always delays them.

I think Larry's point is that perhaps some of the world's problems can be solved without us jumping in to 'solve' them first. You know like asking your neighbor who is having some difficulty if they'd like you to trim the bushes, and if so, how far back, rather than going in and ripping them to shreds first, and then telling him he needs to host the landscapers and pay for the new bushes, while being grateful for our 'help'
