Of course DOJ is now refusing to defend the duly enacted law (that "not gonna defend it" behavior was evil and unconstitutional just a few years ago in re DOMA. What changed? Hmmm.). No replacement plan, duh.
So say goodbye to repeal and replace, it's just being trashed. Somehow this doesn't seem like the better, cheaper, more complete coverage that Trump so easily lied about ("Told you so. Again."). Imagine that, that greedy lying grifter is going to screw We The People. Shocking. Simply shocking.

Something tells me it's not quite as simple as some would have you believe. SCROTUS ruled on this already and if I remember my short stint in government class, SCROTUS>all other courts. DOJ and it's puppeteer friendly AG may find itself as a defendant here soon on a couple of matters.

You know the ruling in TX, right? They are now endorsing it.
We'll see, it's obvious that the intended result is higher costs for fewer patients and lesser results. Crap service, in other words. I hope they fail, and they may, their track record sucks. But it's a new SCROTUS. And they like BEER.

Anyway, the point here is some supergenius business guy, some supposed mover and shaker, promised he'd get *everyone* health care coverage, better and cheaper than PPACA. As we knew, that's another lie, and this is the proof. There's no bill in the works. If they win, and let's assume they want to, then we are back to pretty much pre-Obama rules.

Called to get a refill on my eye drops - I have glaucoma, and the newest and greatest eye drop$.
Giant said it was $100 plus a bottle. Called Loudoun Pharmacy - yeah, it's $100 plus a bottle, but wait! There's a manufacturer's coupon - it's now $37. While I am thrilled, and will be switching my remaining prescriptions there, it's still not right that whether you can get a prescription depends on your insurance coverage and whether the pharmacy filling it is willing to go an extra step for you.
I thought the Republicans were going to fix this - after all, they said they had a great plan.....

I would tell you that they had no plan, have no plan, and never will have a plan that is anything other than going back to the way things were, but you already knew that.
Did you check with Costco?

No, but I figured $37 was a small price to pay for being able to see the End Times, and switched my prescription from Giant.
To me, there's no way that a medicine that is produced by one company (new, so still under patent) should cost more in one pharmacy than another. You shouldn't have to shop around for something like that, but of course we all have to.
I know it will never happen, but I'd like to see an insurance pool similar to what the federal government uses. So you'd get your pick between PPO, HMO or high-deductible plans by different insurance companies. Employers would be required to kick in a flat rate for each employee on payroll based on the company's gross earnings. The states and government would chip in something as well (I figure if nothing else, there should be savings on Medicaid that can be used). Each year, you would choose your insurance plan and pay a premium based on the income you earned last year. So the more you make, the higher your premium, but there would be a cap of some sort as well. If you were truly indigent, or fully disabled, you'd have no premium or co-pay.
Single payer without single payer - since you can change carriers every year, they have incentive to pay out and do a good job (HA!). Plus, your insurance is no longer tied to your job, so if you wanted to move for a better opportunity you could.
Not a perfect plan, but definitely a shitload more than the Rs have right now.

GoodRx.com. It tells you the cheapest in your area for each drug and also finds coupons.
