Yesterday got into me deep. As deep and dark as I've ever experienced. So dark that I seriously considered checking myself in somewhere to "cool off" for lack of a better term. I don't think most of us fully appreciate the process that leads to many of the mental health problems people have. It's not always drugs, it's not always alcohol, it's not always an underlying mental illness. It's sometimes one kick to the crotch after the next, day after day, for years on end. I haven't always dealt with them well but up until now I've dealt with them. I believe now more than ever the saying "there's only so much a person can take". I felt like I have discovered exactly how much that is and it led to me having extremely unsettling thoughts. I feel a little better today thankfully.
Just do me a favor; be mindful and watch what you say to people and how you say it. You may be putting lives, including your own, at serious risk.

I'm glad you didn't do anything rash or regretful.

Regret would not be a factor.

I'm glad you didn't do anything rash. Regret usually comes in after the fact from what I understand.
And yes, I do agree that there are many people who snap because they just can't take anymore.

Like I said, regret wouldn't enter into it. That's not where my mind was at. Even if someone was begging for an end to their misery, I was really only focusing on ending my own. Oh and Just for fun I Had a "detachment from reality" episode yesterday. Good times.

Oh Lord John - I hate that you're suffering like this, and telling you that we're thinking of you is just pretty lame right now.
Is there anything I can do to help, even if it's only something small like sending you a gift card for gas or groceries?

Oh Lord John - I hate that you're suffering like this, and telling you that we're thinking of you is just pretty lame right now. Is there anything I can do to help, even if it's only something small like sending you a gift card for gas or groceries? It's not lame, just the opposite actually. I post here for my own therapy, and because I know I'm among friends. Always think about a fugger who took her own life and no one, not even those closest to her had a clue why. I believe it's that masquerade that kills more people than anything and I don't want to play it that way. Thanks for your offer but I'm not capable of accepting things from people just yet. But I will say this; we have an immediate need for a few things. First would be a refrigerator. We're making due with a dorm style one but there's no real freezer, so we're eating a lot of prepared food. Blech. The second thing is some rugs. The concrete floor sucks. It's cold, hard, and stays dirty. We could also use a small kitchen table, to prepare food on. Lastly, the dog is going to need a good flea and tick treatment like advantix or better, and heartworm prevention like heartgard. Water sits everywhere around here and the skeeters are already overwhelming. So if any of yuns have a line on any of those things that are either super cheap of free to a good basement please let me know.

How much does Rocco weigh now? And has he had a heartworm test recently? The preventative could kill him if he has the worms. I’ve got some old, probably expired, of Advantix and Heartgard here if you want them. Where’s the cat?

He was 99lbs when they did the second eye surgery. Last h/w test was probably 2 years ago.
Lulu is staying at the other place. I will tell a story about that in pet forum later. But she's happy there and they wanted to keep her.

Okay. I’ll order some for him. I’m not sure about using this old stuff. If you message me an address I can have it shipped to you directly.

Still haven't gotten him tested. Going to look for a vet in this area that's "affordable" next week. I did get him the K9 Advantix after pulling 6 ticks off him last week. It's supposed to help with skeeters too but they are horrible here.
