Don't try to be cute with your will and at the same time leave everyone without direction if the shtf. Pro Tip: Most people will put their interests ahead of everyone else's, including yours. Family is no exception. In fact, more the rule than the exception nowadays.

OMFG yes! And don't say "Oh, so and so knows what I want" For the love of all that's holy, let the rest of us know too! I don't care who makes the actual decisions, just as long as everyone is on the same page about what I wanted and expected to happen!

SWMBO is so attuned to this after being executor a couple of times, she has us cleaning old stuff in the house so the kids don't have to do that. It's all stated in the living will, and you need to let everyone know what's up. It's much kinder that way. Just common sense, but that doesn't seem to be as widespread as it once was.

I'm pretty sure my wife and kids are clear on what I want if I'm unable to take care of myself, or in a real bad way. Taking the easy way out if possible. I've not decided on the particulars of what I want after the sweet release of death. The only thing that really appeals to me is being shot into space, whole.
All bs aside, I guess getting on with that and formalizing it should be on my list of things to do. Because Al Himer isn't the only thing gunning for us. No pun intended.

I got mine on Legal Zoom. Relatively painless.
