I have to say that I don't support the death penalty, simply because too many people have been exonerated years after the fact.
Even for a scum like this, who is clearly guilty. Let him rot in prison for the rest of his miserable life.

Literally caught with his pants down. The family should get a shot at him.

I think that the family is traumatized enough.
However, I fully support putting in a cell by himself and randomly setting off weird noises once the lights go out. Make him feel a small amount of the terror that little girl must have felt. And it should be anonymous, so like his victim, the scum doesn't know who's doing it or when it will end.

I was telling someone yesterday that in my mind, when I take out the garbage, I don't think about what's in the bag. I just don't want it rotting and stinking up my house so it has to go. Some people, sick people (see: "Hoarders"), become attached to that garbage and want to keep it around because they think it has value. It does not.
The point here is he and everyone like him is garbage. I have no interest in him suffering the same fear and helplessness his victim felt. That's as meaningless to me as his life is and I have no interest in what may be in the bag worth saving. An efficient mode of transportation to the fertilizer plant works fine for me. I'd like to see Capital Punishment expanded as long as the condemned have earned it, it can be proven BEYOND A DOUBT (note: I removed "reasonable" from the qualification). Buh. Bye.
