El Jefe says he might not do debates next year. Of course, that's assuming he's still around and as we all know, he SAYS a lot of shit that starts with modal verbs.... But I was thinking that if I were the Dem nominee, or the Beer Party nominee, I'd use my entire time allotment to read off as many of his transgressions as possible. No answers to any questions, just as soon as the moderator said it was my turn:
Might as well start at the beginning; He championed the birtherism conspiracy againt President Obama. Mocks disabled people. Mocks young people hoping to make a difference in the world. Said and I quote "I moved on her like a bitch. She was married. I just grab em by the pussy. When you're famous they just let you do it". Said he only liked soldiers that weren't captured and disrespects Gold star families. Lied about the Don Jr statement wrt the Trump Tower meeting. Admitted to firing Comey to stop the Russia investigation. Tossed paper towels to hurricane victims like free throws. Said wildfires were caused by mismanagement of the forests. Had multiple affairs. Paid hush money to his "mistresses". Was found guilty of running a scam "university". Ordered to pay 20 million dollar fine for illegally using his charitible organization's funds. Bribed the leader of a foreign country to investigate his political rival.
You get the picture. Surely theres no shortage of great material to fill in the whole debate, if he shows.

Maybe use my time in closing remarks to quote from Woodward's book and others who HE PICKED to work for him:
Defense Secretary James Mattis
Following a contentious National Security Council meeting, Mattis told people close to him that the president had the understanding of “a fifth- or sixth-grader.”
Chief of Staff John Kelly
“He’s an idiot. It’s pointless to try to convince him of anything. He’s gone off the rails. We’re in Crazytown. I don’t even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I’ve ever had.”
Former Top Economic Adviser Gary Cohn
“A professional liar.”
Former Personal Attorney John Dowd
“You are not a good witness … Mr. President, I’m afraid I just can’t help you,” Dowd told Trump in a meeting in which he counseled the president not to agree to an interview with Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
Earlier, Dowd told Mueller why he didn’t want Trump to testify. “I’m not going to sit there and let him look like an idiot. And you publish that transcript, because everything leaks in Washington, and the guys overseas are going to say, ‘I told you he was an idiot. I told you he was a goddamn dumbbell. What are we dealing with this idiot for?’”
Dowd also reportedly referred to Trump as “a fucking liar.”
Former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus
While serving as chief of staff, Priebus expressed discontent with the president’s social-media habits. He called the president’s bedroom—where he watches cable news—“the devil’s workshop,” and referred to the hours when Trump tweets as “the witching hour.”
“When you put a snake and a rat and a falcon and a rabbit and a shark and a seal in a zoo without walls, things start getting nasty and bloody,” Priebus said, referring to the White House.
Former White House Staff Secretary Rob Porter
“It felt like we were walking along the edge of the cliff perpetually … Other times, we would fall over the edge, and an action would be taken,” Porter said, referring to top administration officials’—including Mattis’s— practice of ignoring Trump’s directions on foreign-policy matters when they considered them to be too extreme.
“This was no longer a presidency. This is no longer a White House. This is a man being who he is.”
“A supreme sexist.”—Barbara Res, former executive vice-president of Trump Organization, who also said “he thinks he’s God.”
“Like an 11-year-old child”— Steve Bannon. The now estranged advisor also allegedly complained that he was “sick of being a wet nurse to a 71-year-old man.”
Working with Trump is “like trying to figure out what a child wants”—White House deputy chief of staff Katie Walsh
“The White House has become an adult day care center”—Republican senator Bob Corker of Tennessee
“Less a person than a collection of terrible traits”—Trump’s former chief economic adviser Gary Cohn.
Someone who “sucks up and shits down”—former Fox News chief and confidant Roger Ailes.
Rex Tillerson Secretary of State "a fucking moron"
Gary Cohen Economic advisor "dumb as shit"
H R McMaster National security advisor "a dope"
Gary Cohen Economic advisor "an idiot surrounded by clowns"
H R McMaster National security advisor “An idiot [with the intelligence of] a kindergartener”
Sam Nunberg Adviser "he’s an idiot" on Live TV

Nah, I'd spend it asking questions instead:
1) How much has your income grown? Has your salary gone up? By how much? 2) How many new businesses have opened in your town or city? 3) Do all of your friends and family have jobs? Do they pay well? 4) Do you have health insurance? Does it cover all of your medical needs? 5) How are the roads and bridges near you? Are they in good repair? Are needed road improvements underway? 6) How are your public schools? Are the buildings and equipment in good repair? Do the students and teachers have up-to-date supplies and textbooks?
Then say that you're asking because the president PROMISED 1) He would enact tax reform including huge tax cuts to businesses to stimulate the economy. This would mean --wages would go up --unemployment would go down - anyone who wanted a FT job that could pay the bills would be able to get one --we would all have a little extra money to put away for a rainy day 2) He would pass REAL healthcare reform - one that gave everyone access to affordable health care and access to decent affordable health insurance --remember - the republicans in the senate and congress promised this too - they had a plan all written and ready to go, so it could be enacted within 90 days of the president taking office! 3) A massive infrastructure bill would be passed to fix the issues with our roads, and transit systems in cities 4) There would be mass public school reform so our students would be able to go to school in state-of-the art buildings
Then emphatically state that President Trump and the Republican party HAD FULL CONTROL OF THE HOUSE, SENATE AND OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT FOR TWO COMPLETE YEARS. TWO YEARS- THEY COULD HAVE GOTTEN ALL OF THIS DONE WITHOUT A SINGLE DEMOCRAT BEING ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! (and yes, I would shout it so these assholes might finally understand)
Why was nothing done? Meanwhile, now that the Democrats have a majority in Congress, they have passed the following over xx bills and sent them to the Senate to be voted on. Here are some of them: --list maybe the top 5 bills and short description of how they'd help the average person NONE of these bills have been brought up for a vote because President Trump and Mitch McConnell would rather feather their nests than feather yours.
What exactly has the President and Republican party done to help YOU or your neighbors? Ask yourself that. Then ask if you want another 4 years of them looking out for themselves at your expense.
Thank you and goodnight.
Cause attacking Trump's character does nothing. Either his followers know he's a scumbag and are happy to live with that, or they don't care. We need to stop focusing on what a waste of a human he is and focus on what he PROMISED to do, and hasn't. As far as impeachment - he took an oath to protect our country, and is being accused of trying to bribe a foreign leader. Don't you want a full trial in the senate where the President is given a chance to clear his name?
Otherwise, focus on the personal - what has Trump or his party done for you lately?
And stop promising stupid shit.
-We're going to open a path for insurance for those who can't obtain it through an employer where people can purchase Medicare before they turn 65. -We're going to create a program to give incentives for medical students to go into needed specialties like primary care, OB/GYN and mental health care so they can graduate without crippling debts -We're going to investigate cutting-edge technologies so you can get medical care without having to see a doctor if you don't need to.
-We're going to invest in schools at the local level so all of our kids can go to school in an building that is safe and well-maintained -We're going to invest in teachers so they too can graduate without crippling debt -And we're going to invest in ALL post-secondary education --working with employers to create internships and apprenticeships so people of all ages can get hands-on training --working with trade schools and community colleges so that people of all ages can further their education at an affordable price
Last but not least, we're going to work with employers to help create jobs with upward mobility that will allow people the dignity of work at a fair rate
All of this is doable, and won't break the bank - THIS is what we need to focus on, not who has the most donors who gave only $1.00 or who is leading in today's poll. A simple, easy-to-understand plan, and a laser focus on what has Trump done for YOU. Whoever can deliver that message best gets the nod.

I think we're both under the delusion that we could influence people with their eyes closed and fingers in their ears to change their minds.

Right now, living in denial is the only way to go unfortunately. I can't face the alternative.
