www.npr.org/2020/04/07/828055678/wisconsin-election-held-amid-virus-fears-heres-what-you-need-to-know7000 poll workers short. 180 some polling places to less than 10 in one of the districts. It's a tough sell IMO to think that this is more important than fighting a pandemic. Of course McConnell's SCROTUS 5 conservatives ixnayed the delay. What about the other states that already delayed elections and weren't challenged? I'm not entirely convinced elections should be delayed because of the possibility of never being able to get Pandora back in her box. Or am I the only one that can totally see Trump doing exactly what everyone with a wing nut in their brain said Obama was going to do? "A lot of people are saying we should suspend the November election until we figure out what the hell is going on"...

I've been following this, as VA has a primary for senate coming up the first Tuesday in June.
We're being asked if we're willing to man an in-person location, as there is no indication that VA will be able to postpone or switch to mail-in.
And yeah, enough people aren't taking this seriously, because unless we get this shit (voting) straightened out fast, we are looking at calls to postpone in November. Not good.

Is it time we started looking to the future?

If this madness continues past January, I’ll have to be committed.

They're going to have to re-open shit, but that doesn't mean it will be safe.
I guess all we can really do is wait and see.

No I mean the future of voting.
Yes I realize the options create as many problems as they solve.

Hillary tweeted that IQ45 doesn’t have the power to postpone the election. It doesn’t mean he won’t try. Who is going to stop him? 😫

Elections are run by the states. The orange shitbag doesn't have a role. That doesn't mean it'll go smoothly, just that he has no formal power there. Asshole governors OTOH do.

SCOTUS seems to disagree - in person voting in Wisconsin took place as scheduled due to their 'emergency' ruling.
The 5 conservatives who united as one to ensure the safety of the republic should have been out at a precinct directing traffic since it was so safe to go vote.
OTOH, I applaud every single voter who came out, and the poll workers who were also braved things to run the show. I hope every last one of them voted democrat.

How about his little rant against mail in voting yesterday and the reporter asked "didn't you just vote by mail in the Florida election?"
He said DO AS I SAY AND NOT AS I DO OR I WILL HAVE YOU SLAUGHTERED LIKE THE PIG YOU ARE.

Yeah, well he hates democracy. Like any King does.
Vote by mail. There are already several states that do it routinely. And that's why they're trying to kill the USPS right now.

Yeah buddy, they literally want to kill the messenger.
I've got 2400 bucks that says if the USPS goes titas up, Amazon is the new pony Express.

If the USPS goes tits up, we're screwed. Doesn't matter who starts delivering the mail - if you live in a somewhat remote area, you'll be lucky to get anything delivered to your door. And if you do, expect to sell your first-born to pay for it.
I would think that all the assholes in DC would want to keep the USPS in business - can't see Amazon delivering all their crap campaign flyers for free.
