We're staying home! We're staying home!
Sad thing is that Bernie does have a lot of good ideas that will help the middle and lower class.
I hope that this time around, rather than taking his ball and going home, he works with Biden's team to put some of his policies into a form that moderates can stomach and that might have a chance of passing. For example, fixing the ACA might start with expanding Medicare coverage and adding some sort of prescription coverage to Medicare. Not free care for all, but a step in that direction. And have some plan for after that's done. So perhaps expand Medicare, then work on getting other insurance companies to offer the same type of benefits (and payments to in-network doctors) to their employer groups. Because I think the only way to get Medicare For All in the US at this time is going to be by sneaking it through the back door one piece at a time.
And work on improving things like SNAP and WIC. Raise the age limit for WIC so older kids qualify. Change the income limits for SNAP & offer healthy incentives - if you use your benefits for fruits and veggies, you get money back on your card as an example. So things like chips stay the same (cause everyone needs a treat sometimes!), but if you buy something like a bag of carrots, you only get charged half-price.
Because Uncle Joe is offering the same old tired shit, and he'd better step it up if he actually wants to win.

I've already been seeing his cult's performances today. There's not a thing in the world you can do or say to get them to understand that he didn't have the support of the voters that he needed to get to the top. They would rather put the blame everywhere else, instead of explain why HIS supporters don't show up at the polls as much as on the internet.
What he needs to do is to get it through to his most ardent supporters that sometimes the message is more important than the messenger. Change has to come from the inside out and not the outside in. They need to support the party that most closely represents that message and join in the conversation instead of trying to dominate it.

Yeah, and that's what I'm afraid of - if he couldn't get them to the damn polls in the primary, we sure as hell can't count on his supporters in the general.
Assholes don't seem to understand that voting for a third party or staying home isn't 'sending a message' - it's a vote for Trump.

Oh but it does send a message. Just not the one they think.

Friend on FB was lamenting Bernie's exit. Second person commented that if you stay home or voted third party, you were sending a message that you were fine with 4 more years of Trump. Original poster said that we all needed to vote our conscience and that just because she wouldn't vote for Biden, it didn't make her a Trump supporter.
Yeah, keep believing that.

It's called "by proxy" and I don't think most of them have a grasp on that. I can't type fast or furiously enough to explain to them the infinite details of why it is exactly that. BUt a few quick and simple things might get through to some of them.
Do you agree with Repeal and Replace of the PPACA, or Obamacare as it's commonly referred to? Do you agree with the massive tax cut that benefitted the wealthy? Do you agree with the dismantling of protections for the environment? Do you agree with the dismantling of protections of equal rights? Do you agree with cutting funding for planned parenthood and other health care programs that serve low and middle income? Do you agree with cuts to Social Security, Medicaid, Food Assistance and other programs that help support the disabled, poor, elderly, and children? Do you think it was okay for Trump to try to rig the election and commit campaign fraud and bribery in the process? Do you agree with separating families and caging human beings? Do you agree that a sitting President is above the law? Do you agree that Cabinet level positions should be filled with billionaire campaign donors who either have no qualification for their office or those that do use their office for personal gain? Do you approve of the current Supreme Court? Are you pro life and want Roe v Wade Overturned?? Do you support the Citizens United ruling? Do you support The Patriot Act?
I could add 200 more but you get the point.
A vote for anyone but Biden is an endorsement of all the above.

But Biden is just another establishment shill!
Never mind that Bernie was in the establishment for decades and didn't seem to get anything on the agenda done.
The Bernie Bros (and girls) need to put their energy into what matters - getting a coherent platform for Biden to campaign on, and getting the damn vote out not only for the top of the ticket, but for every candidate below, including the local dog-catcher. And they need to start pushing people to express their opinions to their local officials and speaking out on what matters. Because that's where change will happen.
