And now the rest of the “special unit” (nearly 60 officers) have resigned in protest. If they see nothing wrong with that, good riddance.

I don't know if it's in the same Beau video I posted the other day but like he said in one of his talks, paraphrasing... If they quit because they can't abuse people, good, peace out.
Hope they all enjoy their new calling as bouncers and pro wrestlers, though I doubt they'll be as courageous without the tactical gear and weaponry.

They are all still cops. They resigned from being in the head bashing squad. And I believe that's related to their cop union pulling legal support.

It's past time for cities, counties, towns whatever to start firing these assholes. And make their firing public record.
So, Officer Bob was fired for pushing an unarmed civilian to the ground, causing serious injury. This incident was caught on video by numerous bystanders, and Officer Bob has no credible explanation for his behavior.
And when the police union sues, then make sure the suit is publicized
News Release: The police union is suing the city over the firing of Officer Bob. Officer Bob was terminated from the force on xxx date after it was determined he pushed an unarmed civilian to the ground with no credible explanation. The city will have no further comment at this time
And pass laws that say the city cannot negotiate private settlements. If they choose to settle with Officer Bob, the terms have to be released.
Because too many bad officers are returned to the force, or quietly allowed to move on to a different city under cover of darkness. We tried to fire Officer Bob, but the union had him reinstated. Our hands were tied.
Were they? Did the union use a technicality to get Officer Bob's job back? Or was Officer Bob used as a scapegoat? Maybe the man in the video actually did slip and Officer Bob had nothing to do with it.
Who knows if the city isn't required to say?
We need to demand that the practice of closed settlements between government entities and any party suing them ends.
