I was actually rooting them on for a while because the underlying message there is supremely important and hopefully well taken by the ptb. But only an idiot would think this could go on indefinitely.
The mayor seems like a very thoughtful and reasonable person. I hope she can negotiate a way out for all concerned and this doesn't turn into a shit-show. Bottom line is that we have all decided as a society that people cannot set up autonomous communities free of laws, regulations, responsibilities, and direct governance. For anyone that wants to argue that point, ask yourself how you felt about the guys that holed up in the park in Oregon or the Freeman, just as two examples.
