Next step: Send the Electoral College to the shithouse of history where it belongs.

Elections are run by the states. They decide their own rules. Unsurprising ruling.

I hope every fucking state says that their electoral delegates can only vote for the winner of the popular vote if they want their asses to stay out of jail.
Don't see the red states going for it though - they might need those brave men and women to vote against their countrymen if Agent Orange might not carry the day.

Any time the modern iteration of our Supreme Court votes unanimously, it's surprising. We just think these matters are a given, but remember the almost certain intangible- Thomas.
Not being a legal or constitutional scholar, my 2 cents is at just above market value. But in my opinion this "faithless elector" is what the electoral college is as a whole, as well as an obsolete mechanism of so-called democratic elections that are constantly tampered with in order to manipulate outcomes. The big lie is "one person one vote".

Well, the one person, one vote isn't a lie. Just remember that the Founding Fathers defined one person as a white man who owned his own land outright. That in and of itself disenfranchised the majority of the population.
But they knew what they were doing, because they were all-knowing. Just read the second amendment.....
