but I was once convinced there was no way in hell Trump could win.
Yeezy 2020? Who will be his running mate? Dr. Dre?
Kim Kardashion as first lady?
God help us.

Actually Kanye would be an upgrade
1) He made his own money - daddy didn't give it to him 2) He seems to have managed that money fairly well, as he hasn't filed bankruptcy (as far as I know) 3) He may be batshit crazy, but he can admit to the occasional mistake
As for Kim
1) She grew up in the public spotlight and leveraged it to fame, rather than complete dysfunction like her sisters and brother 2) Like her husband, she too seems to understand how to handle money 3) She has used her platform to advocate for a cause she is passionate about (criminal justice reform) and has also put her money where her mouth is and made donations and worked with organizations to help release people 4) She has a brain and is using it to not only learn more about her cause, but to go to law school
And in terms of the two of them 1) This a first marriage for both of them 2) Neither has been accused of adultery 3) They seem to be loving parents to their children 4) They have kept the majority of their private life (and the lives of their children) private
We could seriously do a lot worse. They both have a work ethic, morals and care about those less fortunate than they are. Compare to the jackass already in office and say they couldn't do far better.

It’s all a ploy to take the black vote from Biden and enable a second term for 45.

Could be, but he has to get on the ballot or run a damn good write-in campaign first.
My bigger worry is that people aren't going to vote.

My perception of them is pretty much as caricatures. Not a fan of celebrities to begin with, but especially not a fan of the ones that take their celebrity to the hilt. Anyway.
Not that I'd ever want the job but as a person that came from nothing and has pretty much stayed there, and suffered as many failures as successes, have been forced to make due with what I've had for my entire life, confronted with so many harsh realities and basically powerless to do anything but accept them.... I think I'd make a better President than these goofy bastards not the least of which are the Trumps. So sure, the mistake I made was saying the Wests would be worse but that wasn't really what I meant in context.

I saw a spoof article yesterday (from the Babylon Bee, maybe?) that Joel Olstein was Kanye’s running mate.

Like I noted before, he's probably more qualified (and smarter) than Trump. And lots of others loons have thrown their hats in the ring in the past, so I say more power to him.
And this quote is 100% spot-on West went on to say that it’s “a form of racism and white supremacy and white control to say that all Black people need to be Democrat and to assume that me running is me splitting the vote.”
The Democrats need to get their shit together and do it fast. For far too long, they've been relying on political minorities and marginalized groups - women, latinos, blacks, the poor to just go out and automatically vote for them. In the meantime, they haven't been doing all that much for those communities in return. It's not enough to say that Trump is evil. The Democrats need to give people a reason to come out and vote, and they need to stop with the shit that if you don't want to vote for Biden, you've betrayed the country.
A better method would be to simply say that you need to vote period. "I want you to vote for me obviously, but my concern is more about you having the ability to exercise your right to vote and being able to use it in a free and fair election. Don't let others take that right away from you!"

They were going through some of the polls on deface the nation and one supported your point almost to the letter. Major majority of the R voters said they were voting for that abomination in the White House while less than half of D voters were voting for Biden and the other half were voting against Trump.
Democrats need to get back to where and what they were a few decades ago. When they were the party of the working class.
