In what has to be a major shock, the American Heart Association says that smoking (even weed) is bad fredericksburg.com/lifestyles/health-med-fit/marijuana-is-not-good-for-your-heart-studies-say/article_5f314b0e-95e6-56e6-98fa-55af8de51c2c.htmlAll joking aside, marijuana is a drug, and should be tested and evaluated the same as any other drug for interactions, proper use and dosage & the most effective way to take it. Imagine if weed was sold OTC, just like Tylenol or pepto-bismol. You went to the grocery, knew the strength and method you needed (100mg joint please, and the spouse needs 50mg tablets). And when you visited a doctor they'd say "I recommend you use 20mg of marijuana a day for two weeks, and call me if things haven't improved" Of course the downside is that once we actually start doing some real testing, then all the corporate entities will jump in, grab the research our tax dollars paid for and snag a monopoly so the rest of us will be paying $5/mg for what was .50/mg before.

There are two kinds of weed- Good Shit and The Shit That Killed Elvis.
I was really worried for a long time that the pain in my left ribcage was lung cancer. When I say I smoked a lot of weed back in the day, I mean I smoked a LOT of weed back in the day. In my professional opinion, smoking weed is nowhere near as bad for your heart as doing coke. I still remember my heart pounding like John Bonhnam's bass drum for hours and sometimes days on end. Probably still here because I gave that shit up like almost 30 years ago.
Still, I'm 100% in favor of legalization with or without the fucking FDA getting involved and still want to get rid of most of the people and laws that try to save us from ourselves.... and in doing so, sustaining and expanding the nanny state.
Lastly, if I may, air pollution and man made toxins kills more people around the world every day than smoking weed, which is 100% natural, kills in a millennia and probably a tiny fraction of the suffering caused by cigarettes, alcohol, and processed food.

PS- Whatever Colorado is doing should be the model for every state. It's been a few years now and I've heard very little if any negatives about their system and the market, or the public health for that matter.

In other news, I read that plastics are actually in everything. Like our food.

Plastics are in everything sadly.
And I think that smoking damages your lungs no matter what you are smoking. Some forms may be less harmful than others because there aren't as many additives (like weed as an example).
100% agree that Colorado should be the model for the nation too.
