Not even if you paid me. Well, okay, maybe if you paid me. But it would be with the sound off until you paid me more, and with my eyes open, that would run a few bucks.
I think it's a massive, perhaps the epitome of a waste of time. If your mind isn't already made up and you need to see the spectacle of the "debate" to sway you one way or the other you are a fucking idiot. I believe you belong in group c.

The only way you could make me watch is strapped down like Alex in Clockwork Orange.

I'll only watch if Biden just shakes his head sadly and says "Another lie. There you go again..." every time Trump opens his mouth.

I have a friend that watches nothing but news (CNN, MSNBC, etc.). He’s very excited about the debates, especially the VP one for some reason. I’ve told him several times that if someone hasn’t already made up their minds by now they’ve been living in a vacuum. The only way I’d turn t on is if someone told me 45 was having a major stroke and dying on camera.

I told my friend to let me know if anything exciting happened. I never heard from him and I’m sure it wasn’t because he couldn’t tear himself away from the excitement. From what I hear, it was Twitter/rally Donnie that showed up and he tried to bully everyone. But I read that Biden kept his cool for the most part. They need to turn off Impeached’s mic when his 2 minutes have expired.

Because someone had to do it, I took a hit for the team. Also Mr. Minx refused to turn it off, and I was in the comfy recliner.
Anyway, Wallace pretty much lost control of the debate from the start. Trump was constantly interrupting, talking over both Biden and Wallace. Biden did interrupt, but not at nearly the rate Trump did - his biggest interruptions came (as would be expected) when Trump tried to bring up Hunter. And it seems that family behavior was a subject both teams agreed not to raise, as Wallace tried several times to stop Trump. Biden came close to losing it then, but managed to keep himself together.
So the good (if you could call it that) from both sides Trump brought out his fighting persona and immediately went on the offensive in overriding, overtalking and overshouting a lot of what Biden said. This is the same behavior that 'won' him the debates in 2016, so not a shock that he'd repeat it.
Biden kept his cool, and repeatedly called out Trump for not having a plan, not listening to his own advisors, and outright lying to the American people Biden also made a point of addressing the camera on several occasions and pointedly saying that this election wasn't about the personalities of two people or about how he and Trump were personally doing - it was about how YOU at home are. Do you feel more secure in your job? Do you worry about the virus or health care?
The bad Wallace was a terrible moderator, and allowed Trump to spend most of the time being a bully. He needed to be less formal, and more forceful from the start in saying that interruptions and bullying from either side would not be tolerated. He finally did read the riot act late in the game, and restored at least a little order.
Not much of any substance was said (big shock there) Biden was a little too quiet, and near the end you could tell he was getting tired - was having a much harder time choosing words without stuttering.
I give it -10 stars. Would not watch again.

So in other words it was exactly as predicted because president poopie pants doesn't debate as much as dictate.
I'm sure he hired a group of people to congratulate him and assure him how great he was when he came off stage.

These debates need more tasering. Then I might watch.

Something is trending about making trump wear a bark collar.
If Biden is smart he'll decline the 2nd "debate". Then again, he should've declined the first one. Nothing else to gain.

I think that Biden shouldn't back off a second one - I think he should demand that you get your two minutes, then your mic is shut off.
And I like the idea of tasers and bark collars.
Two of the best moments were when Biden was trying to answer a question and Trump interrupted. Biden just looked at him and said "Would you just shut up man!" And the other one was when Trump was ranting on about something and Biden said something to the effect that he couldn't believe this clown was on stage.
Please pray that Mr. Minx doesn't want to watch the next one....

Not to belabor the point but after what you saw last night, which was 100% expected and should have surprised no one, this is the equivalent of Democrats refusing to meet with the Coney ladyjesus supreme nominee. Just about everything the Democrats have done in the past 4 years has been an exercise in futility and they're just saying "enough" and "talk to the paw" and I don't blame them. At some point you have to draw a line. For me, as I mentioned elsewhere, I'm pretty much done with such exercises and if anyone wants my opinion on it, suggest they find a new way to get things done or let the others fuck it up so bad that the people will come begging us to fix it. Tell them there's only 2 choices now- Trump or America, and vote your conscience if you have one.
As for the second debate, well guess what? Trump did what he's been doing at full throttle for about 10 months running and put an exclamation point on last night- beating himself. If he's so feverishly digging his own political grave, why would you stand by and argue policies? When all he's going to do is piss all over the mailbox and get right back to digging? Pointless. Nothing to gain. Better to leave him play in the middle of the highway by himself.

Possible plot twist. The Grand Wizard decides not to debate anymore, claiming the debates are rigged, Biden disrespected/hurt his feelings, the fake media edited it to look like he was interrupting.... Or whatever MF is whinging about with rally and the rest of the pointy hats....

If they change the format so he can’t use the debates as a bully pulpit or live Twitter feed, what’s he going to do? He has no policy. He has no defense for anything that Biden criticizes. It would be the most prudent road for him to take. Therefore, he won’t take it.

His followers are already laying the seeds
Wallace was mean, meeeeeean! He admonished Trump, but not Biden. He was protecting Biden - see how weak Biden was? He had no comebacks from the righteous attacks from Trump! Therefore the system will be rigged for the next debate against Trump - we all know it!
Trump's constant claims of election fraud, his open support of white supremacists and extremist groups or his contempt for the rule of law don't scare me. What scares me is how many people go along with all of it as thought it's normal that these things should happen. When you think about it, people are mad, but not shocked. I think we really need more WTFs
Trump says militia groups should 'stand down for now'? WTF? WHO SAYS SHIT LIKE THIS? Does ANYONE think militia should need to be armed and at the ready? Trump says the election results will be riddled with fraud? WTF? WHO SAYS SHIT LIKE THIS? Do YOU think your state's elections are totally corrupt?
And just keep saying it to anyone who even remotely wants to believe him - SERIOUSLY, LIKE WTF? Are the police corrupt in your little town? Why are YOU putting up with it?

Yep they've been laying the seeds since 5 minutes after the debate. That's why I brought up MF (and the other trump fluffers). The bulk of it started off with attacking Chris Wallace. They are probably unaware (it's their thing actually) that Trump rehearsed the line about "am I debating you or Biden" for that exact purpose. And of course the being the mental midgets they are, closed their eyes and swallowed the whole load.
Now it's the "biden had wires"...... speaking of WTF.... he had wires I guess that somehow allowed someone, probably Hillary Clinton, to give him the answers. Or maybe a couple of wires, one from Hillary, one from George Soros, and one to stimulate the nerves in his legs and face to control his muscle movements. Go ahead and laugh, they are out there, believe me.
But anyway, when the new "rules" come out... speaking of WTF..... in reality about the only thing that will happen IF anything is different is that they'll cut the microphone off. To which they will scream bloody murder about "censoring" and "unfair they gave Biden almost a whole fraction of a sentence extra"! or some other such nonsense because the fucking pig can't moderate himself so he'll decline under the aforementioned auspices.

If he wanted out of the debate he'd whine at the last moment that everyone was so mean. Being sick means he's weak, and he can't get that in-person ego stroke/heroin shot from the rallies. But who knows, he's such a liar.
