I'm so tired of the same ol same ol. Can't stand the thought of another burger, taco, or pot o chili for at least a month. Oh and that chicken and rice shit after tonight.... done with that until mid terms.
What ya got for the crock pot?

I have a pot roast already on deck. Was thinking that maybe there's something other than pot roast that I could do with it that's not pot roast.... I dunno, like a briskit type of recipe or something that would make a good filling for those big assed pasta tubes or to use for filling enchiladas or anything...... other than pot roast. But I digress, it's gonna probably be a pot roast.
Soup is gonna happen. I usually use the hambone from Christmas (okay I said it, and I put up some decorations... sue me) for my ham n bean soup, my absolute favorite. But it's still same ol. She doesn't like any soup pretty much other than frikking cambells chicken noodle. Which sucks because I love me some good soup and it's hard to make for one.

I've been doing roasted chicken and vegetables on a sheet pan (or cookie sheet for those of us not into fancy-ass cooking)
Take chicken breasts and marinate in teriyaki sauce (or the sauce of your preference) Cut up veggies and season as you wish - the recipes all say to use some olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic, but I say screw that - I've been tossing those puppies in teriyaki too!
Cook at 400 for about 20 minutes, stopping at 10 to flip the chicks and give the veggies a quick stir.
Last night I did sweet potatoes instead of the usual veggies - little OO, and cinnamon and nutmeg - mmmm

I got nothing. If I have a meal at all, it’s Stouffer’s Mac and cheese. But these days getting up the energy and tolerate the pain to get it out of the cooler and nuke it is lost.

This one sounds like a winner for starters- www.countryliving.com/food-drinks/recipes/a5499/cowboy-brisket-recipe-clx0914/The challenge will be not spending 50 bucks on a piece of meat. Even half that is a kick in the balls but I can see where we could get 2-3 different meals out of that. BION I have never had the Jewish style briskit that's all the rave on culturally appropriated television programming like The Marvelous Miss Maisel. I've seen the recipes for it and don't think I'd get the max benefit from doing one that way. Briskit on corn tortillas or some sort of corn based flat bread that I could give some crustification to by throwing in a hot pan of oil for a minute or dos. Orrrrr, soak them in some red sauce and make some motherfuggin bangin enchiladads. Briskit stew, chili, or soup. I have done the chili before but I smoked the briskit (it was actually a failed attempt at bbq but we don't make mistakes, we just have happy accisdents). Throw some in the hot skillet, add some Hoisan or even regular bbq sauce, apply to toasted onion roll, top with asain slaw (like the ones ready to mix they sell at giant). Alla sudden 25 bucks sounds reasonable....

You can get 6 or 8 stuffed peppers in a crockpot.
