What are you gonna do with YOUR $600?
I was thinking about using it to pay back the SSA for "overpaying" her SSI because she got two payments after my disability was approved. Oh, and her $600 too, which will means we'll only owe about $400 more.
Hallelujah! Holy Shit! Where's The Tylenol?

I'm not sure - I'm thinking a Lexus. Or maybe a Benz. Perhaps both.
What? It's only $600K if you're RICH ALREADY? The rest of us only get $600?
Well sheeeeet.
Last time, we used half for take out dining and local shit, then donated the rest to Stafford Food Security so they could keep on getting food to hungry kids over the summer. This time around, I'm sending them the entire check. Mr. Minx and I are still employed FT with no pay cut, so we can keep a roof over our heads without worry - not everyone is that lucky.
Don't see it happening, but we need a LOT more than a payment here or there, or to extend unemployment a few more weeks. But any changes will require the sign-off from big businesses, and they're not going to give up a cent to the little guy unless they're forced. And no one in the senate wants to kill the geese that lay their golden eggs.

Big Daddy Wallbucks says 600 is a "disgrace" and wants it to be 2 grand. Not sure if he'll veto what they've agreed on or what.
He also called Sen Thune a RINO.... so someone is off his meds. I'd love to see folks get an actual boost rather than the roll of paper towels congress is trying to toss us. Wait... what?

Too bad Pelosi and Schumer didn't say "Ah, so you want to go back to OUR original proposal. Too bad that you and your fellow Republicans have wasted so much time, and allowed people to suffer needlessly." Then whip out the original proposal for phase 2 of relief and say that they're ready to vote anytime.
But noooo. Instead the Orange Asshole will posture and tweet about how the Dems have once again screwed everyone over, while letting the package pass into law at the end of the year.

You are skipping right over the fact that even his $2000 demand will fall deaf on fiscally conservative ears in the Senate and likely fail.
For the record, it wasn't DJT that held up the other bill. IIRC, he said he'd sign it if it made it to his tiny desk. Moscow Mitch and the aforementioned America first-Americans last republicunts were the ones that wouldn't let it see the light of day from the minute it arrived in the senate.

Oh, I know - but Pelosi should make it clear that they had this shit prepared MONTHS ago, and Moscow Mitch refused to do anything.
Otherwise all the idiots will once again believe that DJT did it all by his lonesome.

His Emptiness panic-signed the bill passed by Congress and sent him Fedex Rush Delivery to Mur'ca Lago where he ignored it until last night. Really sucks that after 4 years he still can't do anything without making it about him hence the implied pocket veto until they agreed on 2k dollar relief checks. OF COURSE that was the right thing to demand but as we know, he doesn't do the right thing for the right reasons and truly has no fucks to give whether the checks were 600, 2000, or 10000 unless there is some way he can use them to his advantage be it now or in the future. It could be something as simple as jurists that got their signed checks from their one and only, not once, but TWO TIMES! in their struggles of 2020. I know that nigga guilty but I gots paid so NOT GUILTY!
Yeah okay I know that's a stretch but is it? Is it really?

Well, this latest temper tantrum was ignited when Moscow Mitch and John Thune had the audacity to vocalize the words "President-Elect Biden"
One can but hope that they will at last turn their backs on Agent Orange in the realization that he's not going to be buttering their bread anymore. Doubt it will happen though.

I wondered how this was going to pan out, given that the golden goose turd was supposed to go rally for these crooks this week. www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/stimulus-checks-senate/2020/12/29/344fa850-49d9-11eb-839a-cf4ba7b7c48c_story.htmlIf you can't get past Wapo paywall, it's about the 2 GA senators heading for runoffs next week. That election is one day before congress certifies the general election results. I'd be not telling the truth if I said I knew where they stood on the relief checks all along, as some of your more devout dumbfuckistanis don't believe in such handouts unless they are handed out to the job creators... But there's one thing I know FOR SURE and that's if Don The Con is gonna support something, so will these two. At least until their fates are sealed.

There it is- www.cnbc.com/2020/12/29/covid-stimulus-update-senate-considers-vote-on-2000-stimulus-checks.htmlSo obviously I lost that bet but this is like WAY WAY WAY more politically nefarious than I could have ever come up with on my own. That's why they leave it to the professionals, I suppose. They did this so those two bags of dicks in Georgia could come out in support of the increase, assured by moscows bitch that it had no chance in hell of getting passed with the asinine "poison pills" he threw in. So they get to keep partying with Trump while not parting with the hard right on these morbidly offensive policies. Bra-vo.

I liked the idea that one of my FB friends (who is rabidly right-wing, so it was a shocker) posted - it was a screenshot of a paypal money request for $2K to Mitch McConnell.
We should all do it.

We pay by check (we owed the past 2 years), so no money for us anytime soon. IRS won't cut actual checks until the first wave goes out to those who have their actual bank information.
Speaking of which, did you read about all the people who filed with places like H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt and asked for 'rapid refund'? Turns out that this is how that process actually works -They do your return and say you're getting a refund -You fill out some form of paperwork asking that they (the preparer) 'loan' you the amount of the refund -Paperwork approved, you leave with a check -Preparer uses the paperwork to tell the IRS that they paid you already - deposit the refund into our corporate account
Works well until the IRS is ordered to issue a stimulus payment immediately and to use the banking information on your return to do so. Seems like H&R Block and their cronies just got a windfall, and now need to figure out who gets what....
