Will start Jan 13th.
I realize that out of the men's professional leagues, the NHL is the one with the least amount of revenue. And for every day the players sit, the owners lose money.
And I love hockey. But the pandemic is reaching record highs. Is it really smart to have yet another group of professional athletes traveling around the country right now?
They had a great idea in the summer with isolating all the athletes to contain risk. The only real precautions they're taking this time around are to separate the Canadian teams from the US teams. And that's not really a precaution - Canada won't let those guys travel to the US because we're a hot mess.
Ah well - let the idiocy continue (since the other leagues haven't stopped their 2020-21 schedules either)
