Only in America can cops kill you to prevent you from killing yourself and all your superiors are like "righteous kill bro!".
This kid obviously had a whole mess of problems. In a country that spends almost a trillion dollars a year on defense, we have epidemic levels of mentally unstable people going unsupervised and untreated because of a tragic lack of a plan and the resources to help them.
Right now today though, they need to stop making toy guns or require them to be built and or painted in such a way that makes them easy to identify and impossible to make look real full stop. I would support fully banning them all including bb guns, paint guns, or anything that simulates a firearm. The second amendment does not apply.
There was at least one trained crisis officer on the scene but it appears the "corporal" with 20 years experience could not differentiate a threat from a desperate cry for help.
