I've found these little pita pocket sandwiches at BJs - they're called Sandwich Bros and are basically stuff like eggs and cheese in a small pita half, or a chicken patty and cheese.
Currently I have the cheeseburger ones (not the best). You unwrap them and microwave for a minute.
As I noted earlier - cheeseburger not the best. So as I ate my sad little cheeseburger pocket, I found myself thinking that I could make this shit for much less with better quality beef.
What's to stop me? Laziness. Sheer unadulterated laziness. How hard would it be to grill 6 burgers, put a slice o cheese on each and then cut them in half to stuff into a pita? Eat one, wrap the rest and lunch is served for the rest of the week.
I need a personal chef -someone to come in and make a week's worth of meals, clean up afterwards and leave me to heat and eat!

We have been doing pretty well with staying away from ultra processed food. If it has more than 3 ingredient, 4 at the most, then we don't buy it. It takes a lot of that "convenient" stuff off of the menu and to be honest how much of that stuff is really what one would call "delicious"?

It's not. That's why the thought came to my mind that I need to get off my lard ass and do some basic food prep. Was on a roll with mason jar salads, and then just got overwhelmingly physically tired.
Last night I looked at the sad ingredients for what should have been this week's lunches of steak salads. Salvaged what could be salvaged and made a nice large dinner salad.
Don't have a lot on tap for this weekend, so thinking I'm going to take a day to cook and prep. I really did feel much better about what I was eating with those salads, and they weren't hard to assemble. Once you were done, you had 5 salads in 32oz jars. At lunch, you just grabbed a jar and dumped it in a bowl and BOOM! Lunch was served.
I also found a recipe for freezer breakfast burritos that I made once. They were also quite tasty, but I suck at burrito folding. I'm going to use pitas instead and make little pita sandwiches for snacks next week.
Pray for me. Getting the ingredients is easy. Getting them into something resembling a meal seems to be the challenge lately.
