My former dog walker was the son of my friend. He forgot to stop by one weekend and my poor pets were left to fend for themselves. Needless to say we were pissed.
So when we went out of town last week, we used Rover.com.
Found an absolutely fantastic woman who not only happily came and fed the naughti ones and Snicks, but loved on them and took them for walks. If that wasn't enough, she noticed that one of the blankets Bit sleeps on was wet. She checked all the blankets and the dog bed and it looked like Bit had peed on them. So she put them in the washer for us! I was floored that she was willing to do that - just so nice.
And to top it all off, she only charged us for Bit, rather than the fee for an add-on dog!
Of course you know the ending to this story. I asked her if she was free this weekend, as we're going to my mom's for her birthday. Nope - she's moving. To NEBRASKA!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Neighbor is watching everyone this weekend. Back to the search...

Another one I didn't see until a few days after posting. ugh! Apparently my sons's gf does pretty well on that app. I'm about to sign up for one so I can find someone to do yard maintenance (cut/trim) on the regular during the summer.

Okay. I don’t mean to be an alarmist, but …
Has Bit peed the bed before or since? I don’t recall having issues with him when he was here with me or even at his southern foster home. Are you positive it was his pee? Peeing the bed can be a sign of something wrong, just saying. We had a cat that started peeing in my Dalmatian’s bed, all of a sudden. When it happened 3 times, I knew there was something wrong (and not that he didn’t like Tye Dye, the new dog). It turns out he had a mineral imbalance. Quack vet just told us to add a little salt to his food. I took him to another vet for a real diagnosis and treatment (the cats were ferals that we brought inside after one got caught in a trap and nearly lost his leg, so I was using a local vet for them.). Then there was Digger, my fearful pointer. A few years after his ruptured disc fiasco, I came home to discover his crate full of urine. After it happened a few days in a row, I knew something was wrong. I even came home several times a day to let him outside but that didn’t help. It wasn’t just a little accident, either. It was a lake of urine in an extra large crate! I ended up removing all bedding. He was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease. The excessive urination (and drinking) was the only symptom he ever had. He never gained weight, ever. As a matter of fact, I had trouble keeping weight on him. He was barely 30 lbs. when I had to let him go.
Anyway, just a cautionary tale. Keep an eye on both (Snicks?) the cat and Bit.

Definitely not Snicks - she lives separately from the pooches while we're gone.
And it's definitely pee. He's going to the vet tomorrow for his yearly check, so I'm going to mention it.
And John, tell me the gf's name - I haven't found someone new yet. Had one of our neighbors watch them this weekend, and he pretty much did the bare minimum. Let the dogs out to pee and poo in the yard, fed the dogs and the cat - didn't clean the litter box, and let Dresi take Snake outside! Nooooooooo! Snake always stays in the house and he knows it! But can't complain too much, since the pets were taken care of and checked on.

They live down un Bump Ass (southern tip of Lake Anna) and from what I understand she doesn't have any problem getting gigs in that area, so getting her to travel to the burg is barking up the wrong tree (yeet!).

But did he scoop the dog poop?

Told him to let them poop in the yard - that way he didn't need to clean up - we'd take care of it.
New dog walker visiting tomorrow to meet the naughti bois.
